“Okay, Thunderhawk 5, you are cleared for landing in sector 5.” The pilot heard over the radio. “Alright Wes, lets bring it down.” The pilot said to his co-pilot. They brought the helicopter down. The soldiers stepped out. “Welcome to Taloqan. Northern Kharosan isn’t any less forgiving than Iraq. I heard you stopped that Al-Qaeda team of about 50 guys from getting that intel on our new target. Impressive.” Major Thomas said. “We’re Marines. We don’t retreat.” Corporal Stephen “Howler” Anderson said with a faint grin. “Yeah and Marines get settled in before talking. Lets go.” Sergeant Rick “Falcon” Dean said. “Nice meeting y’all. Breakfast is at my tent. We only have MREs at the moment. First mission should be at 1500 hours.” Major Thomas replied. They got settled in and put their stuff on the bed. The Marines already in the unit looked at the new marines. They silently watched as they got settled. There was a radio to inform them of anything that was going wrong. It was 0600 hours. They cleaned their guns and then went outside for breakfast 30 minutes later. They got their MREs, went to their tents, and ate silently. Suddenly, they heard the radio. “ROCKET ATTACK, ROCKET ATTACK! WE ARE BEING ATTACKED BY TALIBAN FORCES! THEY’VE GOT HOLD OF SOME ROCKETS! PRIVATE! TAKE COV-” they heard before the radio went to static. They got ready to go. The major stepped out. “ALRIGHT 4TH PLATOON IS UNDER ATTACK! WE ARE GOING TO NORTHWEST TALOQAN, IN THE ISHTAR PROVINCE!” He yelled. They got into their vehicles and made a rapid advance towards the city. They got to the buildings, and saw about 100 Taliban soldiers attacking the 4th platoon, who was lost their lieutenant and got their soldier count cut in ****. The marines quickly got out, with 4 on the machine guns. “CORPORAL ANDERSON, TAKE 5 MARINES WITH YOU AND ASSAULT FIRST BUILDINGS ON THE RIGHT! SERGEANT DEAN, TAKE 10 MARINES WITH YOU AND SUPPORT ANDERSON’S TEAM! REST OF YOU EXCEPT THE ONES ON THE MGS, FOLLOW ME AND WE’LL ASSAULT THEIR CENTRAL FORCE!” Major Thomas yelled over the sound of gunfire. Anderson breached the door of one house on the right. Downstairs was clear. He walked upstairs cautiously. There, 5 Taliban soldiers were shooting at Major Thomas’s team. He shot and killed them with his m4. “CLEAR!” He yelled. They cleared building after building, with no ine sustaining injuries. It was the last one. They breached the door. There, Taliban soldiers waited on him, shooting and hitting him in the gut 3 times. The others killed the rest in there and picked up Anderson. Major Thomas led the assault on their force. They were surrounded by a force of reinforcements. They dug in, and made a last stand. Major Thomas told Sergeant Dean to take control, and to go back to base and radio for reinforcements. He told them that him and his 100 men could hold out against the 500 long enough for reinforcements to arrive. Sergeant Dean obeyed the order and took everyone back to base, and radioed for reinforcements. “This is 6th company, Eagle 9 radioing for reinforcements. We need reinforcements at Northwest Taloqan, Ishtar Province, i repeat, we need reinforcements at Northwest Taloqan, Ishtar Provice.” Sergeant Dean Radioed in. “This is Firebird 7, reinforcements coming to Northwest Taloqan, Ishtar Province with firebird 2,4, and 5.” The helicopter replied. Reinforcements was coming.
