I sat in my seat at my table on the other side of the room. I had really lucked out with my table. I had my best friends, Sierra, Luna, Grace, and Ellie. I was writing my homework down when suddenly Ellie passed me a note. I opened it and it said:
Do you want to go to the mall after school?
I quickly responded,
You know I do!
The rest of the day went by smoothly. Olivia, to my surprise, was fantastic at math, and didn't slip up except at lunch when she spilled her peas and got on her hands and knees trying to pick them up (No rhyme intended). Luckily, Alexis was testing someone to recruit them to her group, The Popular Girls Club (gag). At 3:30, I waited on the side of the school so Mom could pick Olivia up and I could tell her I was going to the mall with Ellie. Ellie waited with us. About three minutes in, Olivia said, "Your eyebrows look like caterpillars.". Ellie had been trying out different makeup styles and today had been trying to "highlight" her eyebrows (whatever that is).
"Olivia!" I said. Ellie looked hurt and annoyed. Suddenly, one of the office ladies walked towards us.
"Alice! I just received a call from your mother. She says she has a conference and cannot pick you up, but says you may go to the mall or icecream shop.".
"Oh," I said. "Thank you Mrs..." I looked at her name badge. "Walter's.". But it slowly dawned on me. I would have to take Olivia to the mall with us.
