Biking is so much fun. Talking with your friends, competing in bike races, and just biking are all great activities. But remember, you need to be a safe rider. You don't want to be physically injured because of your most favorite activity! So here are some rules about bike safety.
First of all, always wear equipment. Protecting your body from hard injuries can prevent the possibilities of breaking a bone(s). Wearing knee and elbow pads can help prevent cutting, scraping, and breaking. Those are also the parts where your main bones meet. Wearing a helmet can help prevent any damage to the brain or skull.
Another bike safety rule is to never ride in night. You can never see where you're going, even with a tiny bike light. You could crash and can have serve injuries or even have death. But when you're riding in the morning, you should wear colors that could be seen clearly such as neon or florescent.
Lastly, you should always stay in the bike lane or sidewalk. If you can't, you should stay as far as you can from the left hand side of the road and always stay on the right side. And if there's traffic, stay with it.
As you can see, there are many bike rules to follow. There are many rules than the ones on this page, but you should always follow bike rules and road rules. But you should also have as much fun as bike rules. Have a safe and fun summer!!!
