Puberty questions...

Question

So I am 12 (13 soon) and I am wondering when I will get my period. Just note, this is a bit personal and may sound gross to some people. You've been warned xd.

I have multiple friends that have received their periods and they tell me its not pleasant and that I should be thankful I don't have it yet, but I am and have been wondering...how do I know if its coming?

I have been going down a rabbit hole of period advice articles and advice columns on the internet, but I know periods are different for all so I just wanted to ask if any of you girls have gotten your periods and if you have, what are some symptoms, if any, that you experienced before and/or during your period?

So the only problem that I normally when I get my period I am can't do activates like swimming. today  I have my period and I am not going to any activates .

I got my first period at school and before I felt really bad cramps

I'm 12 and got mine. it's not as great as it sounds. you normally get cramps and feel more annoyed by little things. some people have different signs, but that's what I've experienced. hope it helps :)

The average is 12 or 13 so you might get at 13. Also to know if you want to know whether you got your period watch out for signs like moodiness, tiredness, sore breasts and food cravings In addition you might see a white stain on your underwear Hope this was helpful.

You often get discharge about 6 months before you start your period.

Not everyone gets discharge though.

If you do you may have it for longer than 6 months. I have had discharge for 3-4 years and I've not had my period yet!

I got my period at 11

basically you will wake up with bloody underwear (no I'm not swearing)

And you'll have to wear pads. Sometimes you will have cramps before you start. Usally my breasts hurt and I don't have discharge (long story)

My sister had this thing where she had extra skin covering the um hole yk?? So she started her period but it wasn't bleeding out. She got really bad cramps and she had to have surgery!! That's really rare tho!

I had zero symptoms on my first. I just woke up and was like "oh I have my period." But now I get cramps before it happens and I know it's coming
