Minecraft News Updates (MNU) Revival!

Question

Minecraftnerd decided to resign from MNU, so now I’m in charge! This will mostly be the same, except updates are weekly (on Sundays) instead of daily. The first update will be on December 4.

2015: Java Edition version 1.8.2 is released. It adds 2 new splashes and many new statistics.

2015: Java Edition version 1.8.3 is released. It fixes some bugs.

2011: The Java Edition launcher now requires you to update it manually.

2015: Legacy Console Edition version CU10 is released on the Xbox One Edition. It adds the “wait” disc (“Where are we now” at the time) to Survival mode.

2016: Legacy Console Edition versions TU33, CU21, 1.24, and Patch 3 are released across all console platforms. It adds a new skin pack on all platforms. On the Wii U, it also adds many new blocks, items, and mobs, including slime blocks, salmon, and guardians. It also add ocean monuments, and many new biomes.

2019: Legacy Console Edition version 1.88 is released on the PlayStation 4. It adds 2 new flowers, 5 new sign variants, 4 new smooth blocks, and many new stairs, slabs, and walls.

2022: The Steam Deck is released on Minecraft Dungeons.
