2014: Mojang Studios announces Minecraft Story Mode.
2014: Legacy Console Edition versions TU19 and CU7 are released on Xbox 360 and Xbox One editions respectively.
2015: Legacy Console Edition versions TU31, CU19, and 1.22 are released on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the PlayStation editions respectively.
2018: PlayStation 4 Edition version 1.83 is released.
2019: Earth version 0.9.0 is released. It adds a tutorial to Build Mode.
2019: Bedrock Edition version 1.14.1 is released for all platforms except the Switch and PlayStation 4. It fixes some bugs. It’s also the last update of 2019, and subsequently, the 2010s decade.
December 19
2012: Legacy Console Edition version TU7 is released. It adds many new blocks, items, features, and mobs, including enchanting, cauldrons, ender eyes, and villagers.
2013: (IMPORTANT EVENT) Minecraft Realms Beta is released.
2016: (IMPORTANT EVENT) Minecraft Apple TV Edition is released.
2016: (IMPORTANT EVENT) Minecraft Fire TV Edition is released.
2016: (IMPORTANT EVENT) Pocket Edition version 1.0.0 is released on every platform except the Windows Phone. It adds the End, the Ender dragon, igloos, and many more items, blocks, mobs, and features.
2017: Episode 5 of Minecraft Story Mode Season 2 is released.
2017: Legacy Console Edition versions TU60, CU51, 1.64, Patch 30, and Patch 11 are released.
2019: Bedrock Edition version 1.14.1 is released on the PlayStation 4 and Switch.

2010: (IMPORTANT EVENT) Java Edition version Beta 1.0 is released. It adds tooltips and capes, which were called “cloaks” at the time. It also raises the price of the game from €10 ($10.65) to €15 ($15.98).
2012: Pi Edition version Alpha 0.1 is unofficially released.
2014: Legacy Console Edition version 1.12 is released on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita editions.
December 21
2016: Legacy Console Edition versions TU46, CU36, 1.39, and Patch 15 are released. It updates the End to look more like Pocket and Java editions.
December 22
2009: Hayden Scott-Baron becomes the artist for Minecraft.
2010: Java Edition version Beta 1.1 is released. It adds Christmas and New Year’s Eve capes. They were only available during those times.
2015: Episode 4 of Minecraft Story Mode is released.
December 23
2009: (IMPORTANT EVENT) Java Edition version Indev 0.31 is released. It introduces torches, dynamic lightning, and Rana. It also requires a €5 ($5.33) premium account.
2013: The Marvel Avengers Skin Pack is released on Legacy Console Edition.
