I ran away just as I heard the 2nd plane crashing in. BOOM. Everything, Everywhere. I was too terrified to look behind me. Everything just came crashing down. Everything.
3 hours Earlier......
BEEP BEEP. BEEP BEEP.
I smiled and got up to mark another day on my calendar. Today is 9/11 and also my lucky day. Last year, I got a scholarship on this day. The year before that, I got to meet and shake hands with the president. I don't expects this year to be any different. I skipped down the stairs to my living room. My mom smiling,said,"Today, we are going to visit Dad at where he works. The World Trade Center." I gobbled down my oatmeal and was already ready to go when my mom just started her breakfast. "Woah woah missy! Slow down!" I just giggled and jiggled the car keys again. She laughed and grabbed the car keys and walked out to the car. I followed. Today was going to be a good day I knew it.
3 hours later.....
I couldn't believe it. Today was supposed to be my lucky day!! I broke down and started crying like crazy. But suddenly, I heard a voice that cheered me up. "Anna?" It was my mother's. "Anna?"
"MOM!!!" I screamed, and I saw her. Ash full on her face but there she was. Upright and all good. I ran up to her and hugged her as tightly as I could. She smiled, but I could tell it was a sad one.
"Where's daddy?" I asked
Mom suddenly had stripes showing the skin on her face, wiping off the ash. Tears. "I-I do-on't k-n-n-ow!!!" She cried
It was a scene to remember. A mother and daughter crying into each other's bodies. Hoping, that everything, was ok.
