"I think there is a world market for maybe five computers"

--Thomas Watson, chairman of IBM, 1943

"Computers in the future may weigh no more than 1.5 tons."

          --Popular Mechanics, 1949

"But what...is it good for?"

-- Engineer at the Advanced Computing Systems Division of IBM, 1968, commenting on the microchip

"There is no reason anyone would want a computer in their home."

--Ken Olson, President, chairman, and founder of Digital Equipment Corporation, 1977

"640K ought to be enough for anybody."

          --Bill Gates, 1981

And thus begins the first of a sequence of Historical Hindsights. I promise, the ones to come will be better. And funnier. And you'll impress every history professor you ever meet. Don't believe me, and you'll get added to another edition of Proven Wrong by History.

Has anyone watched Mrs. Davis? Very interesting show, it’s different. Imagine if Alexa or Siri turned evil and was able to control everyone, and so this “Mrs. Davis” sends this nun on a quest to find the Holy Grail.
