The world itself would be better if LGBTQ+ never existed.

Now, I do not and never will mean that as a homophobic statement. Listen to me here. I’m not trying to be attacked because of this opinion, I am trying to point out a view that may actually be true. Though you can disagree.

LGBT+ is a community of people that have different sexualities/gender identities than what is “normal.” Rather than being cisgender or heterosexual, they identify as, for example, nonbinary, or gay, or bisexual, or whatever else. I myself identify as something other than hetero. Being LGBTQ is not a horrible thing. Yet many, many people, normally people who are very religious, hate on this community- homophobes.

People who identify of things other than hetero or cis are attacked by these homophobic people, and questions being exchanged back and forth are and always have been really confusing. And it can be to both sides. Such as, “If trans people are able to identify as the opposite gender, then can I identify as a black lesbian?” This is coming from a white man. Of course, the answer is no. But no one can really explain why.

My point is that really we do not need to give people, US, who are LGBTQIA+++ their own category. “You can’t label love.” What are the sexualities then??

I get that everyone STRUGGLES, but nowadays, it is much more accepted. I still struggle sometimes. But we aren’t being attacked to the point of death. There is always a light.

The fact that everyone gets their own FLAG is what makes people angry. And that there is a whole month dedicated to these people.

We have fought for our lives to be here. But we are here. Do we really need an entire month?

If we can get rid of the label LGBTQ itself, the world would be a better place. Homophobic people would have less of a cow trying to fight about something that isn’t there. We will still be here. We will still be normal humans. We will still be loved. But do we really need a category when everyone else, even allies, are left out?

I’m mostly saying this because it’ll be easier to shaddup homophobic people.

Tell me, do you agree? I do feel like I may have sounded homophobic myself here. I have a point, although I may have not quite made it clear. LGBTQ makes us stand out. What if we were to blend in? Considered human without having to be LGBTQIA+++? Be held under a label people can’t relate to?

Am I in the wrong here?

Edit: I have a better way to explain this,

I am ashamed to be LGBTQ+. It’s not the homophobes.

It’s the fact that my community has gained acceptance, and now they flaunt it.

It’s the fact that my community has become hypers**ualized.

Trans people pay thousands of dollars to be themselves and also not have to be asked their pronouns and for once be assumed to use those pronouns.

The people you see on tiktok telling others they are Bunny/Bunnyself (which honestly is a little goofy) are trying to stand out. Attempting to gain attention. Maybe some aren’t, but a lot are.

We fought for our right to exist, and while it’s not fully there, I can hold a girls hand and walk down the street without literally having a gun pointed at me.

I love being proud to be me. I love how everyone is accepting in this community.

What I don’t like is how this community has become something other than a community of people not heterosexual or cisgender. It’s that, but it’s… some is just… it’s downright nasty.

I probably offended people by saying this. But I am only speaking my opinion.

But if we have fought and still in some ways are fighting for freedom, and we have pretty much earned it, why are we trying SO HARD to stand out from the crowd?

You might hate me after this, so be braced.

I believe that some people in the LGBTQ community are extremely nice and sweet. There are also some who try to force stuff down peoples throats. Like why does no one care about a thing when a lgbtq pride parade happens but when the straight pride parade happened (yes that actually happened), everyone hated on it? Like why are they allowed to show off but straight people aren’t? I am in ZERO way transphobic, homophobic, or anything else. I don’t SUPPORT the lgbtq community, but i don’t hate it. Also, if you’re gonna have an entire MONTH dedicated to some group, something, or someone, dedicate it to MILITARY! IF IT WASN’T FOR THEM, WE WOULDNT EVEN BE ABLE TO TALK ABOUT THIS OR DO ANY OF THE AFOREMENTIONED STUFF! Okay, i got a bit angry there. I just hate how military is so overlooked. They are some of the bravest people on the planet, and the sacrifice they make is just so heavy. Imagine leaving your family to go somewhere where you can DIE, never to see your family again, and breaking their hearts. Honestly too, i believe military gets waaaaayy more discrimination than lgbtq. I saw a video where this man burned his military outfit and purple heart because a woman trespassed on to his property, threatened him, and when he told her to get off, he went to court with her and lost the case. It just makes me so angry. You don’t believe how much anger i am restraining at the moment. But lgbtq does have some nice people. I think dino is really nice. Im sorry if i offended anyone, but i just needed to get that out. Peace.

I don't agree because LGBT isnt a thing, There are 2 genders. Male and Female. No matter the amount of surgeries you have to add or take things away you're still a Male or Female underneath all that. So, take the most common used phrase and BE YOURSELF. be the YOURSELF God created you to be.

God backwards is dog. And I don’t have a dog.

And plus, LGBT+ isn’t all about genders. I’m cisgender and I’m asexual! (Meaning no sexual attraction but I still experience romantic attraction to the opposite binary gender of me)

I'm a Christian too, and here's my perspective:

I'm not even gonna get into the transgender debate, but LGBT does exist. whether you like it or not, people can be attracted to the same gender. Personally, I'm neutral to it all. People often insist you have to like it or hate it, but I just let people do their own thing. As a Christian myself, there's no point in policing the identity of others like this. That's not our job, it dosen't concern me.

As a trans person, that hurt, but honestly I'm used to it.

People debate about my gender all the time. They say things similar to what you say, that God created us and we should respect that, but why? God is God and I am me. We are obviously separate people, so how does He get to decide what and who I should be? (No disrespect to anyone!)

Also, I was uncomfortable as a girl. I never liked girly things and I always hung out with boys because I felt like I fit in there. Even from a young age I considered myself one. I was extremely extremely insecure as a girl, but once I cut my hair, bound my chest, and started expressing myself, I became so much happier. Honestly, think what you like, but I don't care if being trans is 'bad' or 'against God', because it makes me happy and comfortable.

Telling people their gender is also something I have a problem with. Its all about perspective. For instance, someone could look at me and tell me ill always be a girl underneath everything else, but I see a boy when I look at myself and so does my family.

Be yourself. I like that phrase. I've always liked that phrase; but how can I be myself when I'm identifying as a girl? Because I'm not a girl. If you want me to be stuck as a gender I'm not, then that's not being myself. Me being trans and changing my appearance has made me so much happier, so I feel more like myself that I ever could have as a female.

Again, no hate! Just pointing this out. Also, im not trying to tell you what to believe or to try and change your way of thinking. I respect all religions and as long as you guys don't actively hate or try to descriminate against us, then keep doing what you do :)

Well said, dino!

Don't let anyone else tell you who you should be, okay?

Just like I said earlier, religious people shouldn't judge trans people and vice versa.

I don't know what to think of that. I think instead of LGBT not exisiting, it would be better if homophobic people never existed instead. I'm bad at philosophy. Also, you might have the longest username on KT.
