2. I think you have to ask KS in a post requesting a blog, with the blog name.
You can also, instead of posting in a blog, post in any other category (that isn’t owned by someone.) Most people just use “Other” most of the time.

4. It really just depends when you are comfortable telling them. Or when you really think you need to, because you have a gf or whatnot. Just make sure they support. Please don’t come out them if they are homophobic, that makes things really messy. Some people actually PLAN coming out too specifically with like friends to help, but you can just say it when the moment feels right.
