Shelby: Look, Shelby! That sign says Quality Kites!
Cyd: All I see is gibberish.
(laugh track)
Shelby: And this is one of the many, many situations in which taking Chinese class comes in handy.
(laugh track)
Cyd: That must be Kite Maker's shop!
(Cyd and Shelby enter Quality Kites)
Kite Maker: (with Chinese accent) What fate brings you to my shop?
Shelby: Can you fix this toy?
Kite Maker: (analyzes toy) (with Chinese accent) No. It is not in my skill to fix metal toys.
Cyd: It's plastic.
(laugh track)
Kite Maker: (with Chinese accent) Whatever material this toy is made of, fix it yourselves. But, I do not see any misfortune in this toy.
Cyd: What?
(laugh track)
Shelby: He wants to know what is wrong with the toy.
Cyd: This button is supposed to make it sound like an engine. But it does not.
Kite Maker: (with Chinese accent) You two baffle me. But, I will not let our souls interfere with misfortune any longer.
Cyd: What?
(laugh track)
Shelby: He wants us to leave. Come on, Cyd.
