Hej, It’s Carly.

I decided to make a list of some Nordic holidays for reference

I also decided to add holidays that I will probably propose if I could, so yeh (proposed holidays have a * symbol)

January 12* - Moomin Day

Proposed Day to celebrate the Moomin book series. Moomins deserve a holiday.

February 6 - Sámi People’s Day (Norway)

a day in which marks the anniversary of the Sámi Government in the 1917. The holiday celebrates the Sámi People and their rights

March 16- St Urho’s Day (Finland)

a holiday in which Finnish-Americans in Northern Minnesota celebrate the legend of St Urho

March 23 - Nordic day

a day by the Nordic council that celebrates the overall Nordic culture, including but not limited to Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Kven, Sámi, Faroese, Ålandic and Scandinavian-American culture

March 28 - Danish Independence Day (after world war 2)

Denmark gained independence after annexed during world war 2.

3rd Weekend in April* - Ankomst Helg/Arrival Weekend

Proposed Scandinavian-American Holiday dedicated to the 1st waves of Scandinavian-American Immigration in the 19th century, as most arrived in Spring. I’m trying to find ways on how to celebrate the holiday

day that celebrates the signing of the Norwegian constitution in 1814

June 17 - Icelandic Independence Day

Depends, Usually on June -  Midsummer

If we make a moomin holiday, we will need these holidays:

Tom and Jerry day (Tom and Jerry has been running for like over 70 years)

Spongebob day (most legendary show of all time, undisputed)

Bluey day (fuels the minds of kids with good lessons taught in a slower, more digestible way)

Rugrats day (ran for like 12 years, its also legendary)
