So, for the past 2 years I've been babysitting a little girl who is now 6. Her mother, Ms. Culver, has always had strange requests for when I babysit Ava. Once she asked me to wear sweats that day (which I was going to anyway) not explaining why it mattered or anything. Another time she requested that I didn't go anywhere that day prior to babysitting Ava. I assume she didn't want me to have car trouble, or end up getting home later than expected but its still not something you would ask. Right? I wasn't planning on going anywhere anyways, but still. Anyways, today, Mrs. Culver texted and asked for me not to cut my hair for the next MONTH. (I typically get it cut every 1 - 1 1/2 months and I was well due for one the last time being the week before Christmas.) She explained it was because she didn't want to set that "kind of example" for Ava. Even though, most of the time I babysit her, Mrs. Culver is out getting her hair done. I calmly and kindly asked her what she meant by "That example" and that she gets her hair done every 2 weeks. She saw my question as rude and responded " Didn't your mother and father ever teach you not to talk back to your elders? I asked you for one simple thing, and you turn it into a big deal. You will no longer be babysitting my Ava, or receiving this months pay. ( she gives me $500 A month even if I don't earn that much and if I earn more than that she pays the difference.) But I had already watched Ava for a total of 18 hrs in this month. And should receive something. But at this point I don't even care about the money, I really love Ava and she's like a baby sister to me. And now, I may never see her again since I don't see their family outside of babysitting.
