How do I come I out to my parents?

Question

My parents aren’t religious so I think it will be pretty easy but the thing is, is that my religion isn’t that common and there are a lot of misconceptions about it.

My parents also grew up in a religious family so I don’t know if they will be fine with it or not, my parents are really excepting tho so I think I have a good chance of them excepting that I’m religious.

My mom already sort of knows but she thinks it’s a phase.

Does anyone have any tips on coming out as religious to their family?

Please answer soon I need some advice because I’ve been doing some religious things like building an altar and I think they have started to notice. : )

You just tell them. Religion isn’t that big of a deal lol. Just tell them you’re this, you enjoy it and thats that. It they have concerns reassure them. I doubt this will end badly as long as your parents are okay with religious folks. And you can teach them too (not trying to convert them just teaching them.) It’ll be pretty easy to say in my opinion but I also don’t know your parents.

Just say it and what happen will happen. Be serious about it so they don't take it as a joke.

Also, Girls (by Girl in Red) is a great song for sapphic pride, and I always feel really nice when I listen to it (mostly for lesbians/bi females, but boys can listen too!)
