Last Stand, part 1
63 then grabbed a box of grenades and a blunderbuss. He calmly walked onto a nearby hill and crammed a grenade into the blunderbuss. He then watched as a Covenant lance led by an Elite came up the hill, where 63 calmly shot a grenade into the mass, spraying multicolored innards all over the place. He reloaded, making sure to eject the pin. This time, a Covenant Lance of Elites walked up the hill, Energy Swords ready. 63 blew them to bits. Ejecting the pin, he reloaded. Then, suddenly, multiple waves went up the hill, and 63 held the, off. “Who’s next?!”, screamed 63. Suddenly, a Elite managed to backstab 63. All 63 said was “I’m ready! How bout’ you?!”. 63 pulled his blunderbuss out and blew the Elite off the hill. Out of grenades from the previous fighting, all 63 had was a flare gun, some flares, some shotgun shells, and a adapter. 63 first shot a flare into the air, and then began to eliminate some more Covenant. Eventually, he loaded in a green flare, fired it on his position, and ordered a air strike. Before the missiles came down, 63 got up and drew a line in the grass with his knife, while screaming “Come and fight a Shock Trooper!” He managed to take down several more waves until he was stabbed multiple times. 63 fell down. The air strike came, blew all that was left of the hill, and a bigger portion of the Covenant. 63 was blown off the hill, wounding him further, but still had the strength to remove his helmet. He then took out a stick of gum, and started chewing it. He never expect that he wouldn’t see his girlfriend again. He never would expect to see the world in color once more, and as his vision gradually became darker and darker, 63 closed his eyes and took in the smell. The smell of peace after a decade of fighting aliens. Those eyes stayed closed forever.
