Maya already stopped crying. We're all sitting in a fancy restaurant. "Niles, who IS your dad anyways?" I say. "Kyl Daves." Kyl Daves was a star foot ball player. Niles fixes his platinum blonde hair. Maya stares at me. Under the table, she pokes my leg. I look at her, with a questioning face. She mouths "we never found fern." She looks as if she is about to cry. I quickly get my backpack and open it so she can see that I found her. She hugs me. I put one of of arms around her, and say "nugget."
Around six, Charli, Niles, and Mara are at the hotel at the pool. I take a walk with Maya to the Effiel tower. "Tell me, Steve." "What is there to tell you Maya? You know everything about me." "Steve. Tell me about you. Not about a plan. Not about anything else. Steve. I don't know you." "Well, my favorite color is tan. I'm a dog person. I had a brother. Daniel." We're on the elevator to the top of the tower. "He's gone." I swallow. Maya hugs me. "Okay. About me I guess. Well, I am deeply in love with you, my favorite color is pastel pink. I don't have any siblings." She stares at me for a second. Standing on her tip toes, we kiss. For I long time. I'm losing oxygen. I can't see if anyone is staring. We both pull away. I open my eyes to see Maya is just as shocked as I am. Suddenly everyone is clapping and cheering. They start throwing roses. Maya blushes. " nugget" she says.
When we get back to the hotel room Niles is on his computer. "Hey bird face. We saw the magic moment." Niles says. "How?!" Mara says. "Someone posted it on the social media. Look." Maya holds my hand tightly. Charli and fernanada chase each other. In the Hotel room there are only three beds. Niles and Mara are in one bed, while me and Charli are in the same bed. Maya sleeps with fernanada. Charli kicks me. "What" I wisper. "Go sleep with Maya." I nod no. And turn over. He kicks me again. "Now" he wispers. I get out of the bed and poke Maya.
