My friend can be pretty annoying. She's my best friend, but she makes me so mad sometimes because she's insensitive. She always says I can talk to her about anything, but when I do, she brings up her own problems. Come ON. She's always claiming her mental health is terrible, and everyone can tell abut her problems, because they're sooo recognizable, but it's not. Even I struggle with mental health, and I know how much you try to keep it under the surface and out of sight, and she claims to be doing that, but then, SOMEHOW, word gets around, and suddenly all the teachers are fine with her skipping online classes. It feels like she BRAGS about mental health All. The. Time. Every single day, without fail, it manages to come up in a conversation. She makes me so MAD, yet I want to still be friends. What should I do? Do I tell her how I feel? Or do I shut up an stop being dumb? Trust me, it feels like I'm being insensitive now.

Hi! Tell her how you feel. I know, I know, it sounds ‘dumb’ but how else will she know? Maybe try talking this out with her and see how it goes (be calm, if you scream, it’ll make things worse!)

Hi!

I don't think you're being insensitive if you try to set some boundaries. Let them know how you feel in a calm way. Let them know you love them, but sometimes it feels like you aren't being listened to.

Hope this helped!

Hi. So I’m pretty sure this abt me purple. Look, I’m sorry. I really do try my best. I had no idea you felt this way. The skipping classes is abt like so I don’t get too stressed. I can understand that I can be insensitive. But it’s only because I don’t know what I’m doing wrong since no one tells me. Please do talk to me if you need to. Sometimes I’ll bring up my mental health Bc I relate to smth. From now on I will try not to say anything and listen. You are not being insensitive, and you’re are not dumb. You’re right. Please forgive me, I’m sorry.

I love you, jelly

Often things like that just mean that the friend sees talking important to help their own mental health. And i can sort of relate to her actually. I usuallly do it when i need help or i want to relate my expiriences to others, to try and help their situation. I have struggles with mental health sometimes, and while i dont tell people who hate me about personal stuff, i do rely on friends to help me, and they may be what she is going through. So i recommend still being nice about it, and try to help them too. They may be going through some stuff they might not even mention.
