'Yeah," he said, the floorboards creaking. He looked like he had heard something, and I realized it was the song in the background. He handed us the mugs, and I thanked him.
"Where's yours?" I inquired, an eyebrow raised.
Tom shook his head. "I'm fine." He said, smiling, and sat down with us.
"You going to go back to the Netherlands?" Lucas said.
'After that scar, he better not," I said in a fake worried voice, and laughed. "Oh, I sound like someone's mother. Sorry."
"It's okay," Lucas said. "I wonder if you'd be a good mother."
I looked at him, and said slowly, "If I get that far, sure." I looked out of the window.
Immediately, Iggy appeared. His eyes were wet and shining. "Asia," he said. "I missed ya, you little troublemaker!" he ran over, faster than he had in all the time I'd known him. He climbed up on the couch.
"Hey Ig," I said.
He picked up a portion of my robes and glanced at my stomach, where the largest wound was, bound by bandages. He looked at me under angry little eyebrows and set to work, using his elf magic to speed up the healing process. I looked down after about 5 minutes and was surprised.
"That was fast," I said.
"I am a great healer," Iggy said proudly.
"How about me?" asked Tom, pointing at the scar. It still wasn't fully healed.
Iggy looked at him. "I don't know... you're a Malfoy."
"Want me to kick you?" I said angrily.
"You wouldn't. But fine." Iggy climbed up to Tom and set to work once again. The scar was fully healed in under a minute. New skin stretched over his eye, but the thin mark stayed all the same.
"Wow," said Tom.
"Um," I said, hesitantly. "Guys, I have something to tell you."
Everyone, including Iggy, glanced up. "What is it?" said Lucas.
'I'm going to be leaving Hogwarts."
I waited for the news to hit them. Iggy's eyes widen like orbs, Tom made a few weary sounds, and Lucas only stared blankly. "What?" he said in a trembling voice. "You're leaving?"
I nodded. "Yes. Soon, I'm going to the Ministry. They offered me a job, as an Auror, believe it or not. Being 14 I'd be the youngest potential Auror in their history, but first they're letting me travel to Japan to figure out some stuff about my curse. I'll be trained while in Japan, so as soon as I'm done I can be an Auror."
"But you haven't even finished school." said Iggy.
'In three years I'll be 17, and three years is the training time. I finished all my school a few weeks ago, and my NEWTS came back high."
Everyone sat in silence.
"I'm sorry. This job may help me survive longer." I said. "There's tons of benefits." I sighed. "I'm visiting tomorrow. You guys wanna come?"
There was a pause. "I'll let you think about it," I said. 'And don't worry. I get a week to stay here and spend time with you guys before I have to leave. We can have fun and stuff. And you can visit anytime, and if I say okay you can even come with me." I smiled. "So think about it. Maybe even Ms.Granger will let you."
"We'll think about it," promised Tom, "and we'll let you know in the morning."
I nodded, and headed off to bed.
