Silens I Chapter 2
Hazyl's POV
Asia laid in bed for the longest time.
We didn't have any good doctors, so Willow and I grabbed some of Wren's old books and tried our best to get Asia better. We were succeeding, and before long she was up and at em, ready to take on the day.
Asia's POV
I took a pill that morning.
It was supposed to relive me of any pain I may feel during the day, Despite that, I still felt some stings where I had received burns. I didn't remember anything from the day before, or the days before that, so the others had to fill me in.
Lucas was giddy with happiness, despite the surviving danger of Handison. He made me promise again and again never to leave him again, and I wearily agreed. "The only way to make sure I do that is to make an Unbreakable Vow," I said sleepily. "Or a blood oath or something."
Lucas smiled and said that he trusted me not to break it.
Later, after Tom and Willow had come inside, I walked up to Tom after he had gone into his bedroom and Willow had commented on his sketch. I had been watching them, and said in a mischievous voice, "I think she's tryna make a move on you." Tom's pale face went paler for a moment, then a red blush worked its way on his face.
"Really?" he said, spluttering.
I raised my eyebrows and laughed, ignoring the pain in my stomach. "She's got a thing for ya," I said, in a mocking voice. Tom made a gesture at me, as if to smack me, but I dodged. I sat down and said, "I'm sorry you guys had to go through so much."
"You were tortured, obviously, we should be saying sorry to you."
"I think something happened to me in there, but I don't know what. It's a blur. All I remember is the pain." I shifted, checking my wounds. "Oh well."
"Yeah." said Tom.
A year passed, and we were 17. Well, I was 16, but still.
Handison still hadn't made a move, so Hazyl said we could go out in the open again. Find a hotel or something. So we did, but Hazyl kept eyes out and Willow was on the alert. Before long, someone in particular visited us.
"Professor McGonagal?"
She nodded and said she was checking up on us on Wren's request. When we told her Wren was dead, she seemed awfully shocked. "That's impossible," she said, "I saw her only yesterday!"
I glanced at Hazyl, who was staring dead ahead, thinking.
