did I ask?

So.* pauses* Does it ever happen to you that you might be telling someone a story or just tell them something and they go : "did I ask?" It happens to me and I HATE it because I have never found a clever way to answer back but do you guys have any tips ?

Do Not use this unless they are very mean but say after they say did I ask? Say "about your life" AGAIN ONLY USE IF THEY ARE VERY MEAN
