Nobody likes my music taste (read whole thing)

im probably gonna get hated on this, as well as get called things like a pick me or a "quirky" girl but Im gonna say this,

i have a lot of problems involving me and my music taste.  In case you are wondering, I love Nordic folk songs (including, but not limited to Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Icelandic, Danish, Sami, Kven, Greenlandic, Faroese, Pan-Scandinavian/Pan-Nordic, Viking and Scandinavian-American folk songs) Ive been getting bullied both Online and At school because of this

I remember one time this one girl told me I should change my music taste because nobody my age likes that kind of music unless it is a Nordic/Scandinavian person with a deep connection to their heritage. Another thing that happened is that my (11 year old) cousin once took my headphones and threatened me to quit listening to Nordic music if I dont listen to Ice Spice or an artist that swears. this is horrible because im Autistic and sensitive to swearing.

Another problem with this is my own self. I am of Hispanic and Southern European (spanish) origin. I keep getting told that the reason I like nordic music is because I hate my culture. I do not hate my culture, in fact im proud of it. However, Spanish-language songs have declined and are now not as good as they used to be growing up.

another thing, one of my most recent posts (which was upload 9:35 am Central USA time) is me asking if people could rate my music taste. many of the people who rated it was below 5, either because they dont know my music taste or because they do but dont like my music taste. if you are gonna comment "join a nordic club" well I cant, althrought my state ranks 6th in Scandinavian population, there is only 1 scandinavian heritage center open and it is 4 hours from where I live (I did go there and it was AMAZING tho)

so plz, I am PRAYING that i can find a girl my age (ages 13 to 18) who likes my music taste. I am not accepting online friending because I need someone to talk to during school hours

Here's some advice: It dosen't matter what other people think about you.

Just be yourself, you don't need approval from anyone.

Also looking back on this, carly did way more dramatic vents than she does now. Her vents now are actually more serious and dont seem all “OMG I AM CRYING, DONT IGNORE OR YOU WILL DIE”. Also back during this period, Carly did like 500 vents a day. Luckily, she’s better now.

I've never listened to that kind of music I'm more of a country and pop kinda girl but I'm sure your ,music taste is awesome

I get a very weird mental twinge whenever I hear swearing in a song. Me over here also has a very odd taste in music and likes songs that no one has heard. We're sort of in the same boat I guess :D

I just dont like that type of music is all, I dont have to rate it high if I dont like it. That was my honest opinion.

I’m 11 and I haven’t listened to those yet so…

But the fact that they don’t swear is good, because I also don’t like swears in songs. (Even though I hear them all the time)

Also, do you have any recommendations? Because your music taste is different (in a great way) than any I’ve ever heard of.
