Hey everyone! 

I just woke up and all my parental trauma just decided to push itself back into my brain again, so here we are lol. 

Anyway, as the title suggests, what's the worst thing a parent (s) ever said/done to you?

I'll go first: My mom looked me dead in the eyes while I was having a breakdown and told me "just get over it" (I was literally 9-10 years old :l). She also told me on Mothers Day that my real mother didn't care about me and that she doesn't love me. 

Whats therapy? I've never heard of it.

This is mildly frustrating because I’ve got some immensely colorful things that my dad has said to me, but KS would never allow them.

I can’t think of anything really, cause I have really good parents. They haven’t said anything like that to me (that I remember). I’m pretty sure I have trauma or something from a time my parents fought, though (it’s getting better though). My dad kicked the door so hard he cracked it, screaming at the top of his lungs at my mom. Last night I heard a dog barking and for like 5 SECONDS I thought it was my dad and my heart raced and my head hurt and then stupid old me realized it was a dang dog. So yes, I suppose I have “parental trauma” or something but not like exactly like that. Your mom seriously told you to “just get over it?” “She doesn’t love or care about you?” That’s just straight up sad. Your mom is mean. I’m sorry she told you that.

Oh I'm so so sorry! That definitely doesn't sound good and I can see how that would frighten you, I would be scared too.

Its totally not stupid to be scared because of the dog! I think anyone would be if they had gone through what you did. I hope that doesn't happen again :)

I’m so sorry that happened to you we’re here for you. My parents are pretty awesome, but during Covid they were stressed and fought often it’s scary we’re here for you and understand.
