HmMmMm...

Yes, I'm finally getting around to this. I've been wanting to discuss this for a while but haven't found the time.

Anyway, as a 12-year-old genderfluid kid in the US, public bathrooms are my worst nightmare. Especially when I'm in school. I'm AFAB, so fitting in in the women's lavatory is no issue. When I am feeling more masculine/want to present more masculine, however, it becomes an issue. I can't just waltze into the men's lavatory and act like I'm a guy. I have shoulder-length blonde hair and am always wearing makeup and a black hoodie. I look way too feminine and I don't know what to do about it. I wish I were born a boy.

Another issue I have, its one that Elo brought up, is with nonbinary lavatories. While I'm not NB myself, I do have friends that are/fall under the NB umbrella and they are always so stuck when It comes to bathrooms, especially in school. School makes everything difficult. I think there should be a nonbinary/bigender/trigender/gender noncomforming/genderfluid/gender less/etc. bathroom everywhere. They deserve love too. People shouldn't have to worry about where they relieve themselves, they shouldn't have to feel stuck, they shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable being themselves in a bathroom.

That brings me to my next main point: school. Being an openly gay kid in school is like having to jump off a cliff every day. Whenever I wear any pride stuff, kids either give me weird glances or just ignore me for no reason. I do have some friends though that ask me what pronouns I use for the day/how im feeling today. They're so kind and make everything better.

I'm a gay, furry, therian, DSMP fan, genderfluid kid in 2023. The amount of bullying I get for no reason is stupid. Kids at school act like me having hobbies that they don't approve of is my problem. Like, I'm sorry that I actually keep myself busy with things and don't sit around making fun of others for being themselves. And its not like I march around telling people this stuff, they sneak onto my social medias (WHICH I DONT TELL THEM AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE DOING) and snoop around, then save the videos and mock me for no reason. Ah, American schools, I hate you.

Anyway, sorry for the rant! I just have a ton to say but nobody to say it to. My American googlies, can y'all relate? Anyone from different countries/continents got something similar?

Love u!

In my opinion, American anything is bad. We just don't get anything right.

JAPAN OR CANADA ON THE OTHER HAND, THEY HAVE THE STUFFS—

I feel really bad for you, and I hope that everything changes with the bullies soon.

I'm gonna tell you what I think I either told you before (or was the wn? I can't remember who I said this to)

If they say things, just say, "That's the problem with you straight jerks. You're sad because the only gender that you like doesn't like you back."

YEAH BE SAVAGE WITH THEM MAKE THEM REMEMBER NOT TO MESS WITH YA—

Best of luck!

Finally someone said it xD

Like I have no issue with the country but the people in it are just...eh..

SERIOUSLY THOUGH, JAPAN, CANADA, AND GERMANY TOO. HOW DOES IT FEEL TO LIVE MY DREAM YALL-

Also I LOVE THAT QUOTE lol

And not every straight person hates on LGBTQ, I know a lot of straight people that are allies. They're all so sweet and supportive. And if you don't agree or like the LGBTQ+ community, just don't say it. You dont have to support us. If you don't like us, that's fine! We don't have an issue with that. What we DO have an issue with, however, is when people hurt us physically/mentally, make us feel different and/or unwanted, kick us out of our homes, take our rights away, purposefully misgender us, and treat us differently because of our identities.

*RELIGION WARNING XD*

Its so true. A convo with straight homophobes versus gays is like this:

Straight homophobes: Uh huh, yeah. No you can't be "gay" or do any of the "LGBT" nonsense. We have THIS way of life that has existed for millions of years and THIS RANDOM THING said so it must be true, so introducing THIS NEW (its not new but yk what I mean) way of life is BAD!

Gays: Yeah, but why can't we bring in this new way of living to make people not feel so bad about being themselves and expand as a society?

Straight homophobes: Because THIS way already exists, so there's no room for THAT!

Gays: Alright, but when your way of living was introduced there were already a lo of us around. Why can't we just be ourselves and be accepted?

Straight homophobes: Because THIS already exists!

Anyway, I have absolutely NO issue with religion and I want to make that clear. People can believe in whatever they want, and I respect all religions. The one thing I can't stand, though, is when people use it as a shield to hate on others. Like "OH IM GOING TO TAKE YOUR RIGHTS AWAY BECAUSE *INSERT SOMETHING RELIGIOUS HERE* SAID SO!"

Sorry that was long xD

I agree with what your saying 100% tho!

Luv u

I don't know how to reply to that whole short story cuz there was so much but uh XD

Yeah, I made the quote cuz I was talking about the homophobes. I'm straight myself, but I'm the total opposite if homo/trans/LGBTQIA+ phobic!

(also I'm not a jErK—)

I used to have an issue with religion (as you saw, I made an apology on that a few weeks/a month ago) but I've gotten better! Also isn't it funny that the phobes don't just come out and say what they mean to say?

Like they refer to LGBTQIA+ as "THAT" or "THIS" and it's just over the top rude

Like literally go do something meaningful in life dude instead of making a straight (ha get it) fool out if yourself bruh.

But yeah, I'm glad you liked my comeback! Use it whenever they pick on ya!

Love ya!

DSMP is Dream SMP, and SMP stands for Survival Multiplayer.

A bit late to this comment, sorry!

DSMP stands for the Minecraft server Dream SMP. I'm not a huge fan of the server itself, and I only really kept up with it since I was a fan of Wilbur Soot, Tommyinnit, Ranboo, Technoblade, Tubbo, and Ph1lza.

A therian is something that takes a lot if explaining and means different things for different people, so I will try to explain this without making it too lengthy. A therian is a person who identifies with an animal psychologically or spiritually (basically every level except physically). Some of us believe we were animals in past lives or feel a deep spiritual connection to an animal.

Some therians also make animal masks or do quadrobics to connect with our thereotype. Yes, its weird, but we keep it to ourselves. It makes us happy, so what's the issue? :)

i can relate somewhat abt the bullying issue. Since im more interested in singing to my heart's content or playing roblox, my friends call me cringe or make fun of me bc i dont a trend on tik tok. Tbh, im kinda thinking abt dumping them anyway.

Might as well dump them if they make fun of you. Plus, most trends on TikTok are dangerous. (Example: the exploding egg trend)

I have been so scared to use the public toilets ever since I was 6 or 7. Now I'm almost 12 and all of my friends are going by themselves, even my mom sometimes says "Grow Up" embarrassed_smile

I’m not scared of public restrooms, but I do know why people would be scared. (At least the most common reason. I can’t exactly explain quantum physics.)

AGM13, can you stop assuming that everyone is a he?

My friend, Esie, is a certified she/her. Please stop assuming and say, "they/their", if you don't know their actual pronouns.

Even though we are in different countries, I feel you. I’ve came out to my friends six months ago and during the year I slowly came out to my class. Funny how before I came out I was more harassed than after. People accepted better

Or it was what I thought.

I’ve been hearing a bunch of things that some people say behind my back. And I can’t even tell them here. They are not good, but along the way I made friends and I don’t care what people say anymore. I’m not really outed to some members (I think my mom found out by accident, it was pretty funny lol) but I’m going to wear some pride things next semester (not much, I’m not into being a walking rainbow/sunset)

Anyways, gender disphoria (idk how to write that) is terrible. Not fitting sucks

I’m cis, (and also demiagender? How does that work? (And no, I’m not questioning. I just don’t like using too many labels)) but whenever I go into a public bathroom, there’s only men and women bathrooms 98% of the time. The other 2% is one stall family rooms.

As for bathrooms bills, according to Wikipedia (I’m kind of a Wikiholic since I go on that site a lot), 5 states have enacted bathroom bills. They are Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. 10 states have also proposed bathroom bills, which are Arizona, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, South Carolina, and Texas.

That’s all I’m gonna type for right now because I could go on and on about how the anti-LGBTQ+ movement is a big problem.

And also, the fact that Florida is not the best place for trans people-
by (915k points)

The worst state, actually. There’s a law there called “Don’t Say Gay” which basically prevents LGBTQ+ education from kindergarten to 12th grade (previously K-3), and also prevents public schools from adding support forms that maintain confidentiality.

The only exceptions to the anti-LGBTQ+ education are health and reproductive courses.

Also, the law sucks a lot, right?

Ik. . .The bathroom bills, the fact that apparently certain pronouns are banned in schools (HOW THE BROWNIES DO YOU BAN PRONOUNS?!). I don't get why people think we need less education. We barely have any. Half the people I know don't even know about Stonewall. They probably didn't get education, and noe nobody will because they're not learning about it in school.

The law does suck sometimes. A lot.

And the fact that Florida decided that it was a good idea to expand the maximum grade level from 3rd to 12th…

Also, almost everybody who voted for it in the Florida House of Representatives was Republican (1 Democrat voted for it), and everybody who voted for it in the Florida Senate was Republican. And I’m sure you know what Republicans’ opinions on certain stuff is.

I guess I’m really lucky. Most the kids in my school are supportive towards pride (and even though they make fun of it like random remarks like “HAHAHA YOU LOOK SO GAY,” a lot of them still are fine with it, plus theres a lot who are actually gay and I know someone trans), and each of my teachers wear some sort of pride acceptance thing on their badge. Plus we have pad and tampon machines in both girl and boy bathrooms. I really wish a lot of kids like you could actually come to my school district or get your school district like mine because it feels really safe. What we need though is definitely some sort of all gender/nonbinary-other gender restroom.

I think some kids just don’t really get it. And America is definitely *chocolate fudge*d up. We’re all patriotic like “WOOO HOME OF THE BRAVE AND LAND OF THE FREE” but we have major issues. I never realized that I was LUCKY though. (I am also closeted so maybe I don’t actually have the right opinion RIP) I’m sorry you have to go through this!! We need like a petition or something

Would you prefer to boy over a girl?

And ya, its very difficult to, like, choose a washroom to enter in public places for genderfluid people. Ugh.

What is bad about my school is they only have two kinds of washrooms for two genders: girl and boy. What about the Genderfluid people, y'all teachers?

Same. There’s only men and women bathrooms in my school.

None of the schools in my district have gender-neutral bathrooms. I'm pretty sure people have tried, but there's so many problems with my town that we don't have the gender-neutral bathrooms. Do they not know about the bathroom bans that keep happening? The transphobic bills????

I agreed with you. Every place should have a gender-neutral bathroom, or even just make one huge one with a bunch of stalls and sinks and other stuff that will prob get censored. And pads and tampons bc honestly every bathroom needs those and our bathroom at school doesn't even have those but every lower elementary in our district does, which is fine, but why aren't they in upper, middle, and high school too?! Wow that was a long sentence.

Anyway, yeah. I read this title and said 'yes'. In my head. Not out loud. I'll stop now-
