**this isn't meant to offend anyone, its literally just my experiences while wearing pride things in public. If you are offended by this, I am sorry. No, I'm not overreacting or imagining things. No, I don't "do it for attention". I wear them because THESE SANDALS ARE SO COMFY LIKE HOW THEY WERE 25$ and also they're the only pair I own**
Hey everyone!
So I finished my Tae Kwon Do session for the day and my mom took me to Wal-Mart afterwards to get some stuff. I wore my little pride sandals from the Target Pride Collection (if you know you know), and the amount of weird looks I got from people were just..wow lol.
This one older woman in particular stared me up and down while we were checking out. She spent a long while staring at my sandals.
We were also in the parking lot later and I was cracking random LGBTQ+ jokes to my mom, and this gentleman dressed in camo just looked over at us for so long and started whispering to the woman next to him; I can't even tell you how uncomfortable I was.
And when I was in the Target Pride Section a few weeks earlier, I was picking things out and EVERY SINGLE PERSON that walked by just stared at us. It was so uncomfortable.
Moral of the story: Wearing sandals with rainbows on them isn't a good idea in North America. Anyway, always remember to say your daily prayer to Nobby and to leave them an offering (preferably hand lotion or school paper towels, but Nobby isn't picky).
