Hey girls, a little help?

First of all, I am an 8th grader boy, and there's a girl I like. Now i don't want her even thinking that I like her, because I want to get to know her as a friend first. Could you girls possibly give me advice on what exactly to do, and what signs to look for from her? And after I know her better, how do I take the extra step? And what do I do?

Umm sake her likes and dislikes her hobby and stuff. Just talk to her. If she hates boys just leave her alone. Remember JUST ASK.
