Cisgender is a term used for people that identify with the gender the were assigned at birth. For example, my brother is cis. When he was born, he was born as a biological male.

Cisgender is basically the opposite of transgender. Transgender is when someone doesn't identify with their assigned gender at birth (like me, I was assigned female at birth but I am nonbinary).

So basically what you're saying is that "cisgender" isn't really a thing: it's just normal? As in, pretty much every human being in existence until roughly 2010 could identify as this?

People were still trans, it just wasn't safe for people to know, although some cultures were fine with it and even worshipped people who weren't either male or female.

I guess what Pumpkin said. People just couldn't accept it. (So many people don't even learn about the Stonewall Riots.)

Not exactly. If you identified as your own gender, that would include trans people. It just means that you aren't trans, or for a different definition, you identify as your AGAB.
