The 2nd girl, Svanhildr Johansdóttir, is a 17-year old who was born in the Faroe Islands, but moved to North Dakota for her Mom's job. Everyone is afraid of Svanhidlr, even thought she swore nothing is wrong with her.
The 2 girls meet at a Nordic Festival, when they realized that they have so much in common, but they were so diferent. they saw each other every few days, and they developed a strong bond to both themselves and their heritage
however, when their beloved Festival is forced to shut down, the girls along with Hyben Jørgensen, the Festival owner's daughter, they unite to save the festival and everything about their culture
