I get that girls tend to go through more discrimination than guys. I don’t like it one bit.
But guys get discrimination too. Nobody seems to notice that??
A girl can say she feels too skinny and she’ll be assured she looks great. A boy says he feels too skinny and he gets told to hit the gym.
A girl can be taken advantage of and everyone is on her side. A boy can be taken advantage of and everyone tells him to man-up, or he was just too weak and stupid.
Do you see where I’m going with this?
And this is coming from a girl. I’m not a boy. I don’t deal with these struggles. But I do see them.
And in this post I’m never trying to sound like I hate women because no, I believe in equality for women (and men! and whatever else you identify as) and that we deserve every right a man does.
But if girls can wear pants instead of dresses, why can’t men wear dresses instead of pants?
If a man wears a little makeup ONCE to feel better about himself and gain some confidence, he’s “gay.”
A guy is “supposed” to be the “masculine and dominant” person. So one day, if he is a little “feminine and submissive,” he gets all this hate.
A girl can be both and no one blinks an eye.
Girls go through much more struggles (in my opinion), like they can’t go to school, they are controlled because of their gender, more likely to be kidnapped…
But men experience discrimination just like we do, and no one wants to recognize that.
And no one tries to change that. The fact that discrimination happens to everyone, not just girls.
So let’s have a little debate.
A nice one.
What in this do you agree or disagree with? What’s your personal opinion on men wearing makeup, skirts, etc? Or your opinion on girls wearing pants, having short hair, etc? Your opinion on the way society acts with discrimination?
