It was a sunny March day in Ireland and Adare the leprechaun was frolicking by the sea. But then, a woman in a dress made from seaweed emerged from the sea.
"Greetings, sir. I am Aghna the selkie.," said Aghna.
"I am Adare the leprechaun. Your fingers look cold. I shall warm them with an emerald ring.," said Adare.
"You cannot marry me unless you hide my seal pelt, silly.," said Aghna. So Adare grabbed her pelt lying in the sand and hid it under a rock.
"Now can you please tell me where your gold is?," said Aghna.
"Oh....yes.....of course...........I will lead you to it.," said Adare.
Aghna and Adare walked into Fairy Forest. "Now these fairies.......nothing like their cousins the pixies. Very sweet and kind, these fairies are.," said Adare.
They walked towards the fairy palace where the fairy queen lived. "Now, if we see a unicorn (they are plentiful here), we will know the gold is here. Now wait here until you find a unicorn. Call me if you do.," said Adare. He went to his house and began to make a black rubber boot for when he would take Aghna back to the sea.
"What are you doing, miss?," said Breea, queen of the fairies. "Waiting to find a unicorn.," said Aghna. "I know what happened. Adare the leprechaun tricks tons of ladies with this same trick. Forget it.," said Breea.
So Aghna went back to the sea, a seal again.
