Silens I Chapter 45
Hazyl's POV
I didn't think about Toby at all. I kept stirring the soup pot and called Lucas in for dinner. When I looked at him, I felt a sort of pain that was like a bee sting: it lingered for a moment, then it was gone. "Here," I said. Lucas took his bowl and went back to his room, away from Tom. Later, I went to my room, and went to bed. I woke up with my pillow wet.
The next day was better, at least for me and Willow. Tom and Lucas were still down, Lucas even more so, but that was because they were Asia's best friends. They had gone through a lot, and me and Willow couldn't say the same thing.
But Willow and I were good friends, like siblings, we had been on the run like this for a long time, and Wren had been our teacher. I was peeling onions, and tears welled up in my eyes. Grateful that I could use the onions as an excuse, I continued on. Willow had been my friend ever since we met, we barely had any disagreements even if we were very different, but she was someone I could lean on, even if I didn't like to do it.
Tom tried to talk to me several times about where we were moving next, but I never gave him a straight answer. Granger and Lovegood kept sending letters, and it dawned on me that I would have to tell Lovegood about her daughter.
When the week was over, I set to work and wrote a letter to her. I got a response back the same hour, and it said that Lovegood was going to visit. Very soon, for Asia's funeral. Asia's funeral.... she said.
I've never attended a funeral.
Only my parents', but this was different. So different...
Asia's POV
"She's up!" someone hissed. I rubbed my head. It hurt very bad, but I couldn't do much else. That is, until Handison stretched towards me like a snake. He clinked his teeth together for a moment and said,
"Hello, little Aggy. Won't you do my bidding?"
'No," I said.
He gestured to me. "Kill her again. Bring her back afterwards."
"It won't make a difference," said the guard. "The curse isn't working. There's something else keeping it from working. I don't know what it is, maybe-"
"Love," said Handison. "We must learn from Lord Voldemort's mistakes. Love killed him. So, love must be keeping her alive." he inched toward me. "Let's get rid of your love. Let's start with killing everyone you lived with."
"What?" I said.
"Yeahhh…." said the guard. "But who will you send to kill them?"
"You," said Handison to the guard, who jumped. "I want you to take Asia there. Make her kill them all. They're in America." he tossed the guard a letter written in Hazyl's handwriting. "They think she's dead. What a shock it will be when she's not."
