Maya. I can hear her. What? I must be alive. "STEVE! OH MY GOD STEVE!" Maya is crying. My eyes open. Maya. She is bleeding on her check. Maya. Maya. Oh my god. Maya. She has a cut on her leg. Maya. I scream out "MAYA! ARE YOU OKAY?!" She hugs me so tight I think I'm going to break in half. Oh Maya. She cries into my chest. "Mara. Niles." She says. I just realize that we are floating in the ocean. We are in the captains area. Mara and Niles could be anywhere now. I see one small child on a seat. It screams "HELP!" I open the captains door and almost plummet to the bottom of the ocean. Maya. Maya. Mara. Niles. "PADDLE YOUR SELF OVER HERE!" I scream out. The kid is about 2 feet away now I reach for him. I am able to pull him in and toss him on my shoulders. I open the door. Maya sits is a ball crying. I tell the kid to go to sleep. Maya. I run over to her. I stroke her hair.. "It's okay." I say softly. Maya looks up and gives me a kiss. Maya. Treat her wounds I think. Suddenly I hear screaming. I look out the window. 3 people. I open the door for them. One gets water and washes their face. Mara. It's Mara and. Niles. Niles stares at the water. Then screams " Jellyfish. Sharks." We all crowd inside. The 3rnd person is Yuna Vonset . By night fall it's freezing. We all huddle together. Maya and I sleep in the corner. Putting my arms around her I whisper "it's okay. I can almost see land." I kiss her cheek. Everyone still has their wounds. No one has healed. Wait til land I till myself. Wait til land.
