Carved wood for the base, fragments of a swiss army knife for the trigger and components, and finally fragments of their 50 caliber MG on their crashed B-17 for the barrel.

What is the reason that they went there? And why did they crash?

Comments

They did not mean to go there. They were on a bombing mission behind enemy lines in the Philippines. A Japanese ship spotted them and shot them down. They glided for a bit before crashing on the island. Thomas was unconscious for hours.
