We were coming pretty close to killing the monster. We went out for another search. Charlie could walk alot better with the prosthetic leg. No more crutches needed. The soldier and danilo set out again. Me and charlie went out, too. Charlie still had his power pistol, and i still had the shotgun. We looked and looked, no where was the creature found. It was stalking us from above in the trees. It had reset the cage trap again, and it trapped us. It was coming to kill us. He stuck his hand in the cage, clawing at us but missing. I grabbed his hand, took my machete, and hacked it off. It screeched in pain and ran, as always. We thought it was pretty annoying. We cut our way out of the cage since the cage was made out of wood. Danilo and the soldier made a rendezvous with us. We searched all over for the monster. It hid from us. We went to the hut, planning our next move. Charlie decided to confront the monster himself. We tried to stop him, but he ran. We followed him. He was in the woods, searching for it. The creature used some of our drugs from the plane to help regenerate his hand faster. It was fully regrown, and he was ready to fight charlie. He ran to charlie and pouncd on him. He had the upper hand, the entire fight, as charlie said. Charlie nearly died from being strangled, but Danilo came in at the right time, and shot the creature with his rifle. The creature ran at him, With Danilo working the bolt and shooting him again. The creature was not effected, and tackled danilo, scratching him and pounding his arms. He was about to strike the killing blow, but charlie woke up after being knocked unconscious from the choking and shot the creature in the head. The creature didn’t retreat. In fact, it ran towards me, which it heard nearby. I dodged it, and was prepared to have another fight with it. I took out my axe, and got closer. It tried to scratch me, but it missed and i struck it in the stomach. It was unfazed, and shoved me to the ground. I shot it with the shotgun, and once again, it ran towards another person, the soldier. The soldier was prepared, and shot its legs multiple times with the pistol. It slowed the creature down, who still had enough energy to wrestle with the soldier. The soldier got his survival knife, and stabbed the creatures neck. The creature, once again, was unfazed. We assumed it was because of the drugs. I had zero ammo in my shotgun and my pistol. I ran towards it, hopeful. It knocked the soldier unconscious and focused on me. It threw me against a tree 15 feet away, knocking ME unconscious. Danilo shot it in the head 2 times, with the creature still going. It strangled danilo with one hand, lifting him off of the ground with one hand. Danilo desperately tried to get the creatures hands off of his neck, to no avail. Charlie thankfully came from behind and hit the creatures leg with a machete, stopping it. Charlie got thrown to the ground, with Danilo being freed. He punched the creature and fought him, with the fight being 50-50. Charlie joined in the fight, and it tipped the balance. However, the demon got two blows on Danilo, which knocked him out. Charlie was alone. The soldier got up, and strangled the demon from behind. It ran away, with the soldier still hanging on and choking him. Charlie followed the monster. He was about 100 feet from the fragments of the airplane. He could just watch, as he was exhausted and had no ammo. He watched the soldier being lifted off the ground and being strangled, just like Danilo. The soldier looked straight into the demon’s eyes, which looked red now instead of its usual white. The soldier noticed a surprisingly not detonated bomb about 5 feet from the plane. He had about 5 seconds of consciousness left, probably. He pulled out his pistol, which had one more round left in it, which charlie knew because he heard 7 shots, and the soldiers nambu pistol had an 8 round capacity. The soldier pulled out his pistol with the last strength he had, and shot the bomb. It blew up both the creature and the soldier. Charlie watched the explosion, horrified, and hopeful that the creature was dead. All of us went to the site of the explosion, with nothing to be found. The creature was ACTUALLY DEAD! we were at the island for a few more days, with the creature not being there. It was now mid-december 1942. We knew not to tell anyone as they would think we were insane. Eventually, a group of marines raided the island, finding us, and taking us on the ship. The company’s main leader, Captain Edward Wilson, said that the damage we suffered wasn’t of this world. He could’ve possibly believed us, but we didn’t tell him. We got his contact information, and were honorably discharged by the USAAF. We went home just in time for christmas, where we were thankful the creature wouldn’t get us.
