This is my second “entry” in a short time because i feel the urge to write something.

Me and Danilo discorvered something: the creature was afraid of fires. We lit some torches inside our hut, hoping to deter the creature. Sometimes it watched us through the window hours at a time.

We knew we probably couldn’t escape this nightmare. The most we could try to do is survive. Danilo said he found traces of one of our gunners, Frank Jackson. His watch was found on the ground. We decided to take a stand. We walked out of the hut, back to back, slowly walking around. This creature felt unnatural, like no other. I couldn’t find words to describe it specifically, other than TERRORIZING, HORRIFYING, and CLINGY. We heard nearby screaming. We readied our guns and ran there. Turns out, it was our co-pilot, Charles Edwards. He had lost a leg due to what seemed to be like one of the creatures traps. We had morphine and bandages, so i wrapped my jacket around what was left of his left leg, to prevent blood flow to it. We wrapped the bandage around and injected the morphine. Danilo stood guard as i went to a nearby tree to make rudimentary crutches. We guarded Charlie and walked to the hut. I asked for a sketch of the creature and its trap, since drawing was his hobby. These were the drawings.

He said the trap looked like that, but hidden. We didn’t have any sleep, so we took night shifts for 2 days to get adequate rest. We decided to do another expedition. We walked for a mile to a clearing. We found a crocodile body, no head to be found. It was probably the creature. Yellow dots covered the crocodile. Probably the blood. This creature may have been dimwitted enough not to tend to its own wounds. However, it was smart enough to abuse our weaknesses. I was caught off guard easily. Danilo was small and weak. Charlie missed a leg. One night, when we were doing shifts, me and Danilo were fine. We survived our shifts safe and sound. Charlie went on one of his shifts. The creature lured him outside quietly. He didn’t know what it was but he had his machete ready. The demon pounced on him, and charlie wrestled with him. He put up a good fight, but was no match for the shadow demon. The demon had him at its mercy, pinned down, and was about to break his arm. Luckily, charlie reached for his machete he had dropped and swung it fastly at the demons shoulder. It hit, and the creature screeched. We woke up. We saw him fighting it, hacking away at its chest with the machete. The demon threw him off and ran away in agony, though alive. Charlie wasn’t fine, though. We guessed he had a broken rib by the feel of it. We tended to his injuries, and charlie was fine. Next day, we go to a nearby village we had mapped, desperately searching for food and supplies. Thankfully, we found some. We were all in one house when we hear footsteps. The door bursts open, and surprisingly, it was another human being. However, it was a Japanese soldier. Danilo tackled him and pinned him to the ground before he could fire his rifle. I pointed my shotgun at his head, ready to shoot him. He suddenly speaks american, pleading to us not to kill him. He said he was being hunted by the creature, too, and would help us if we let him live. Instead, we struck up a deal. He would give us his rifle and ammunition, since he still had a pistol, and we would give him a small portion of our food and supplies. He agreed, and we told him he could stay in a hut not too far away from our village. We hoped some Marine Company would raid the island and save us. We saw a ship nearby. We yelled and screamed at it to help us. It ignored us. Charlie shot at it with his pistol in anger, knowing the ship would ignore them. He threw his pistol to the ground, and punched the ground. We clinged on to the hope that someone would get us. We prayed to god to keep us safe. Thankfully, he kept us alive for that week.
