I have been friends with her since kindergarten but she has never hurt me until 1-2 years ago in fourth grade, and now she won't leave me alone, hit me when I call her the wrong name (she changed it to a nonbinary name), and sometimes even bite me, but her parents say it's her anger issues, what do I do?

Um yeah… so i used to have a friend that did that (she’s not my friend anymore…) and she slapped me (HARD) every time i said something she didnt like. It hurt, and she cussed way too much, and yeah. I ditched her bc she started being really mean to me, saying mean things and hanging out with our other friend, ditching me. So yeah! I’d recommend trying to stick with them, and if it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out. People change, and friendships waver. If i may ask how old are u? Cuz im in 6th, and in 5th grade, she became unreasonably rude. But it wasn’t because of anger issues, it was because she was trying to find out who she really was. If u know what i mean. She was trying to find her identity, but she was relying on my other friend, doing the same things, being (almost) the same person, and waving me behind in the dust. So i left that group of 3. I didnt deserve to be treated that way, and neither do you. Stand up for your rights. You dont deserve that.
