My parents …
My dad is visiting for four days. I was talking with him less than ten minutes ago.
I don’t even know how to explain it besides both my parents are so confusing, so frustrating and making me angry.
My mom complains about my dad- my dad complains about my mom. Or explains. You pick. My dad talked to me and gave me his side of the story. I have mostly only heard of my moms side, and I really agree with it. But I don’t want to tell my dad that.
And they’re both like, “I don’t want to rope you into this.”
And then they start telling me their opinions.
JUST… SHUT UP already. I can’t stand it. Either divorce or don’t, tell me or don’t! Stop telling me you will and then changing your mind!! JUST GET IT TOGETHER!! You guys either figure it out or don’t. I DONT GET IT! EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU GUYS FIGHT, THEN ITS OKAY, AND OH NOW ITS BACK TO ANGER!
My father is manipulative. I don’t know if he realizes it but he is.
He says it is part his fault too, but he doesn’t make it sound like it. He tries really hard to establish his side while I’m trying to defend my mom. (Same with my mom too- I try to defend my dad.”
It feels like they are both saying to pick a side. PICK A SIDE SLOTH, MINE OR THEIRS. JUST SO YOU KNOW, MINES THE BETTER OPTION. PICK A SIDE.
They deny it. STOP DENYING IT. ITS NEVER YOUR FAULT, IS IT? ITS BOTH OF YOURS. ACT LIKE ADULTS.
OF COURSE I DONT HECKING KNOW WHO TO PICK SO I KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT.
I LITERALLY JUST WALKED AWAY FROM MY DAD. I GAVE UP TALKING TO HIM.
They both end their side with “Keep this between you and me” or “don’t tell your father/mother.”
I literally… can’t. I’m done. I’m done pretending. I’m done with it all. My dad makes me feel guilty, my mom isn’t helping, they keep jumbling my brain. I’m done.
