so, I found out what noises foxes actually make! they make high-pitched barks, along with shrill howl-like noises. The people think the howls are mating calls.

I’m horrible at what sounds animals make (nobody ever taught me anything about them except the basic animals they teach you in preschool) so that’s really helpful.
