I went outside to get a better look. I looked around, and I saw that it wasn’t just me outside. Everybody was outside, trying to figure out what the rumbling was. I couldn’t see over anyone, and I guess that everybody else had the same problem, because nobody knew what was going on. So I told them.
Nobody believed me.
I ran as fast as I could away from downtown Singapore. I looked back to see the ravaging internet infecting my home city bit-by-bit. I ran past the giant water fountain, located a mile from downtown. I ran past the McKing Stadium, located another mile and a half from downtown. I kept running until I heard a humming sound.
I didn’t know what was going on, so I pulled out my ancient 5G watch to see. I looked up on Goggle, “QuantumInternet infection in Singapore” to get the latest updates.
I saw that every human in Singapore was infected, except for me and somebody named Everett Donald. I then went to my GPS and tried to locate Everett Donald. He was only a third of a mile behind me.
I didn’t want to go back, not if it meant a high risk of being infected. But if Singapore was to be safe again, I have to find this Everett guy and team up with him.
I just have to.
