Atlas went to the other side of the river, having a great time learning how to swim.
He got to the other side, and took a quick run into the woods to soak in the woods experience.
Atlas realized it would take a while to adapt to this environment.
He did know he could do it, though.
He got to the end of the thick patch of woods, and saw another river.
What did he see on the other side?
A Grizzly bear, who then stood up on his hind legs and roared.
Atlas saw this as a sign of intimidation, and stood on his hind legs, roaring and beating his chest.
The bear went over, and charged at him.
He tried swiping atlas with his claws, but failed, and got a massive punch to his face.
The bear got agiated, and tried to wrestle with Atlas.
Atlas ducked under the bear as he was standing up, and picked him up, using all of his strength.
Atlas threw the bear down, hurting it, but not killing it.
The bear got up, and swiped its claws at Atlas, narrowly scratching his chest, yet still hurting him.
Atlas got severely agitated, and jumped on the bear, biting its neck, which made the bear roar in pain, wounded.
He got off of the bear, and went near the river, where he picked up a massive 400 pound boulder.
The bear foolishly charged at him, and got his head crushed by the boulder, which Atlas threw at him.
The bear was dead.
He had just proved he could hold his own in battle.
He was not only an extremely smart gorilla, he was also stronger than your average gorilla.
600 pounds is pretty heavy for a gorilla.
“A 600 POUND GORILLA JUST BROKE DOWN A FREAKING WALL WITH SOME STUPID RINKY-DINK SLEDGEHAMMER, AND ITS OUT IN THE WILD! WHAT IF HE FIGHTS WITH SOME GRIZZLY AND GETS HIS INTESTINES RIPPED OUT!” The zoo director yelled.
Cut to Atlas, who has the grizzly beat meat, but wont eat it yet as he senses it is not pure.
All of a sudden, he finds a strange, tiny box, which was labeled “matches”.
Atlas carefully examines it, and finds a small opening.
He opens it very delicately, seeing 5 tiny sticks with red stuff on the end.
Pulling the matches out, he smells them, and doesn’t like the smell.
He looks at the red side on the box.
All of a sudden, he thinks:
“Red goes with red.”
Atlas puts the red tip of the match on the red side of the box, and waits. He tries pushing it against it, but he breaks the match.
He curiously exhales, and gets another.
After this, he tries to slide it against the side.
He slides it harder, and it catches fire.
Atlas throws it down, startled, yet very curious as to what it was.
He looks at it closer.
Carefully, he gets another, and lights it, accidentally throwing it on a stick.
Seeing that it catches fire easier, he quickly puts it out, then realizes:
He could make the light bigger.
He gathered sticks, and made a small triangular structure.
With his fourth match, he puts it in the middle when he lights it, and the fire catches on the leaves, spreading to the sticks and making a fire.
He pierces the bear meat with a stick, and puts it over the fire, keeping it there with another prop-up structure.
Atlas felt good, it was the start of a new life.
