I’ve had this on my mind recently and I STILL dont get it aaaa

Before you yell at me I am also LGBT+ and I dont mean offense here okay

First off

Most people fighting for trans rights (and have my full support) say “Trans women are women, trans men are men!” Yes they are.

BUT WHY DO WE HAVE SEXUALITIES BASED ON LIKING TRANS PEOPLE THEN- LIKE WHY DO THEY HAVE TO SPECIFICALLY BE TRANS, DOESNT THAT RUIN THE POINT-

I get the liking nonbinary (or any other gender besides male/female) part (those people are trans too) because they aren’t specifically being a girl or boy. But WHAT-

ALSOOO

We’re over here telling straight/cis folks to stop flaunting their sexualities or gender identities and then we go do it in parades skull please explain

The wikis

Like ya’ll can’t trust these wikis for LGBTQ+ terms. Half of them make no sense. A sexuality is based of what genders you like or don’t like based on romantic and the other one feelings. Note the word genders.

SO FOODSEXUAL, GUYS, IS NOT A SEXUALITY, ITS JUST AN ISSUE-

Most of the time you can spot it’s not because of the way the sexuality is worded. Like “shreksexual” says it all, but things such as “bisexual” (bi meaning two) have slightly deeper meanings with like prefixes (or suffixes.) Shreksexual is not real. BUT WHY IS IT THERE!? Because at least half of those people editing the site are psychopaths!

Also, I legit have no idea how things get classified as a gender or a sexuality. It’s just like something gets slapped on a site and called legit. Like hUh tHeSe dOnT mAkE sEnSe

THE TOXIC SIDE OF THIS COMMUNITY

IS A POOPYMCSTINKYHEAD ANNOYING AS AAAAGH

THEY BOTH CONFUSE ME AND EVERYONE ELSE ON EARTH

SO LET ME CLEAR THINGS UP

-Just because you are straight or cisgender doesn’t mean your weird, in some ways you’re more “normal” than all of us here T_T

-Being gay doesn’t give you any extra rights or privileges

-Straight people can be proud of their sexuality just like the rest of us are able to. I’ve actually gotten hate for saying this, but it’s true

-We aren’t all like those toxic people, and some of us even disassociate ourselves from this community because of them

Okay have a good day I hope I educated you

This is why the world should have never "invented" so to speak more genders.

Sparklerose, don’t start a fight, please.

I'm not, I just stated something

Yes, the genders listed were invented, but the official LGBTQIA+ genders and sexualities were not.
by (148k points)
The names were invented, I can give you that

Here's another point- why does someone get offended when they get misgendered, but they are clearly dressed as the gender they were called?

Like, if someone identifies as genderfluid or like a they/them, why are they dressing in frilly little dresses and then get mad when I assume they are a girl?

Idk, just a thought. Please don't come after me lolll.

Yeah, that's a bit annoying, too.

Especially if you're just meeting someone for the first time! Let me know your pronouns when you meet me, don't just get mad when I can't tell!

Or I can ask, but still, it has to be respectful on all sides.

That second part… though they identify as they/them, it doesn’t mean they can’t wear frilly dresses. Clothing shouldn’t necessarily be restricted to a gender. But I do agree, if you look like a guy you’re gonna be called a guy, look like a girl and called a girl.

The thing I don't really like is the names.

Like, be whoever you want to be in this moment, don't confuse people with all the labels like

"I'M A DEMISXEUAL PANGENDER (more confusing titles)

JUST

LIKE SOMEONE

BE SOMETHING

USE WHATEVER PRONOUNS YOU WANT IN THE MOMENT

DON'T CONFUSE ME BECAUSE YOUR DEFINITIONS OF THESE TITLES MAKE MY BRAIN HURT—
by (148k points)

YEAH A LOT OF PEOPLE SHOULD EXPLAIN WHAT THAT MEANS INSTEAD OF ASSUMING THEY KNOW EXACTLY

Like girly just tell me if you like boys or girls or whatever skull

Yes, and your pronouns today, please.

That's all I really need to know at the end of the day x3
