So like,  I've talked to my counselor about different ways to cope with my anxiety and depression but I can never find one that works for me (such as taking deep breaths or using a fidget toy etc.) The only one I can think of that works for me is listening to music. I won't always have access to music though so I'm racking my brain thinking of ideas. Do any of yall have coping mechanisms that work for you

As someone who loves music myself, I know the power it can have! I love listening to sleep music, sleep therepy, and meditations a lot through an app called moshi sleep stories, that personally helps me through serious stress and hardships. If your body is trying to tell you your stressed, best listen to your body. Sometimes being in a clean area can also help clear your mind as well some. Having your comfort in music is wonderful. Did you ever consider taking up an insterment? Maybe a piano or guitar may help you to de-stress from daily life and also learn more about the music and its calming effect!

Okay, this was a tough one, and I have honestly been thinking about your post multiple times throughout the day! I do not know if this will work, but it was my best guess! Could you hum or sing? You like music, and it helps calm you down, so why not sing? You could also purchase an MP3 player- you can download music onto it, it's very cheap, and they are usually super tiny! You can just jam it in your pocket! Hope that helps! Best of luck!
