Two days later, Steve had gotten harder than he was right when he found out Alex betrayed him.
Alex smiled at Steve and said “Come on. You want to be happy for this. You’re getting one last time with the council.”
Steve frowned slightly less but was still very unhappy.
He got out of bed and got dressed and headed downstairs to see Efe making breakfast.
Steve then frowned the same amount as when he woke up and yelled “Alex! I know Efe is working though you!”
Noor said “I’m helping by gathering the ingredients.”
Zuri then went to Steve and said “Go back to bed. We’ll bring you breakfast.”
Ari then started to make the orange juice and Sunny and Makenna were making a custom mug for him. He then went upstairs
He collapsed onto his bed and said “My life is going to get a lot worse.”
Then all the kids came up and entered the room.
Alex said “Kids! I told you to wait a week after his ranking gets taken from him.”
Ari said “well… we can’t stand to see him this way and we want him to be happy.”
Steve said “Aww thanks kids, but no amount of kindness will ever make me fully recover.”
Alex said “Steve, in two weeks, we’re going on a tropical cruise then we’re going to go to peaceful mode and then g to a tropical island there.”
Steve said “Aww sweetie, you didn’t have to do that” as his face began to soften up.
Alex said “Pet names but no smile 3/8 of the way there!”
Steve then smiled at Aled normally.
Alex said “Halfway there I just hope the council won’t be coming by today”
Steve completed his breakfast and then his friends arrived.
Steve said “Zuri, you can distract them while I get dressed.
Steve quickly got dressed and ran downstairs to see all his friends sitting on the couch.
He said “Please don’t judge me for what happened!”
All of them said “It’s all good. We heard you needed some cheering up. We rushed right over here.”
Steve looked at Alex and smiled and said “Alex, did you set this up for me?”
“Yeah”
Steve looked at Alex a little lovingly and said “Aww”
Alex said “Remember when we’re leaving.”
All the kids then came downstairs and said “Are any of us coming with you on your romantic getaway?”
Steve said “Umm”
Alex said “Steve, your friends will be watching them. They’re here a little early. They’re also here to make you happy.”
Then the council arrived. Steve’s face hardened again and he went to the door and answered it.
The council said “We’re here to take all your swords or awards. You get to pick.”
Steve sighed heavily and said “Awards. They’ll be less useful.’
The council then went up to Steve’s room and took all the awards, even his precious emerald and gold one.
Steve began to sob and wailed “Can I keep one?”
“Fine”
They reached into their bag and pulled out one of his awards and said “Here you go”
Steve looked at which one it was and it was just one a golden hollow block one. Steve sighed and said “This is one of my least favorites!”
The council said “Fine, we’ll dump them all out and the ones you can’t pick from will be in the bag.
Zuri came in and said “Steve? What’s happening, why is the council taking your awards?”
Steve said “Alex told the council everything I’ve done that is against the rules and now I’m losing either my awards I could have picked swords”
“I thought you wanted to keep your awards. Why didn’t you pick those?”
Steve said “Not being alive for this, I’ll forgive you. So, there was this one legend that had this choice. He chose awards to be taken. The reports say after that, he lived for only a short time because records say, he went berserk and ran into a creeper pit in hardcore.”
“Oh.”
The council said “Steve, that never happened. We’ll cut you a deal, if you can beat the whole council with help from Zuri in a battle, you get to keep all your awards too.”
Steve said “There’s a limit to what I would do for my PvP things. You just passed the limit. No!”
Zuri said “I’ll do it!”
Steve said “Zuri! Are you nuts?! You must be completely nuts if you want to do that!”
“So? I can do it!”
Steve said “There are 250 members of council and Trisha Wilmogton also known as the PvP leader is on the council and she has never lost a game. She’s done way more battles than I have and she’s half my age!”
The council said “The battle will be at the world battle arena in two months. That’s all the time you get.”
Steve gulped and said “Alright. I’ll also participate.”
Alex came in and said “So will I”
All the kids then came in and said “So will we.”
The council said “So, we have your whole family doing this? Okay.”
Noor said “I don’t want to do it”
The council said “We already put you all down.”
Steve yelled “Guys?! What are you doing?!”
“Trying to help you.”
The council said “Wait, sorry, Trisha only battles legends. Steve, you don’t have to do this.”
Steve said “Okay”
Zuri then said “But if I lose, Steve loses everything PvP he owns.”
Steve said “Zuri! No! You will not risk all that stuff!”
The council said “If you lose what do you want?”
Steve said “To be stuck in the status effect chamber for all eternity.”
“Longest we can give you is a year”
Steve said “Okay”
Alex said “Bye”
Steve then picked out his favorite award from the pile and said “Take them”
Alex then stopped them in the doorway and said “Steve spent his entire life trying to get those! Don’t take them or remove his rank”
The council said “Fine Steve, the battle’s off and he gets to keep everything! By the way his ceremony is cancelled” and left.
Steve said “Way to go!”
