Rana came over to him and said “Yeah.”
Steve said “You know the bedrock mining facility? I won’t make you go there just for breaking my bowl!”
Alex said “Steve, maybe you should tell her what happened to me”
Steve said “Rana, honey, Alex now has a fake arm so please don’t make fun of her.”
Rana said “Oh.Alex can I see it?”
Alex said “I’m a little insecure about it.”
Steve said “Alex, there’s nothing to be insecure about.. Honestly, I don’t think you know this about me but my left leg is a fake. I was born with only one leg”
Alex and Rana started laughing and said “Yeah right! Prove it!”
Steve said “Okay”
And pulled down his childhood memories book. He opened it to the beginning and showed them some pictures of himself as a baby with only one leg.
Alex said “Oh. How did you become less insecure about it?”
Steve laughed warmly and said “I still feel insecure about it.”
Alex said “Oh. How do you get your mind off it?”
“Oh. To be honest the reason I wanted to become a legend is to get my mind off that.”
Rana said “Yeah right! The one in the photos really is your brother!”
Alex said “Rana! Apologize right now!”
Rana said “Sorry”
Steve ruffled her hair and said “All good. I figured you would say that. Now, I don’t want you telling anyone because technically I’m not even allowed to PvP anyone with this”
Alex gasped and said “Really?”
Steve nodded and said “I’m so ashamed.”
Rana said “I still don’t believe any of this. You’ve always been one to follow the rules. Also, I need to see that leg”
Steve sighed and said “I’ll show you proof” and rolled up his left pant leg.
Alex gasped and said “Oh my gosh! You weren’t kidding!”
Steve began to cry and said “You didn’t believe me?”
“Yeah”
Steve sighed and said “Even Kathy doesn’t know about that so please. Keep it secret. I wanted to keep it a secret forever.”
Rana said “Hey a while ago, I read an article about you and it said you had a fake leg”
Steve sighed and said “Of course somebody found out! But how?!”n
Rana said “I think it may have been one of your siblings”
Steve said “Of course. It was probably James. He was always snooping around my room taking pictures.”
Alex said “Oh my! Do you have any siblings I haven’t met?”
Steve started to cry and he nodded.
Alex said “Oh. They died very young didn’t they?”
Steve nodded and said “I used to be a triplet but the youngest one died at age eight”
Rana said “Oh my! Did he respawn?”
“No, he died in hardcore. I was with him when he died.”
“Why were you in hardcore so young?”
“Family trip there”
Alex said “If you don’t mind sharing, what did he die of?”
“Creeper”
“Oh my! You really did have a rough life. How close were you with your brother who died at age 8?”
“Oh I was like best friends with him”
Rana said “Any sisters?”
“Yes. two. I was never really close with them. They always got in the way when I was practicing my current interest.
“Oh do I know them?”
“Maybe. They are Rosa and Robin Stonecutter.”
“Nope!”
Steve sighed and said “The only sibling I told was the one that died at age 8.”
Alex said “Hey Steve, is that why your leg is so much harder on this side than the other side?”
Steve nodded.
That night, Alex said “Steve, first night together in ages. I missed this”
By that time Steve was asleep. Alex then woke up Steve and said “Hey Steve, I’ve got to make sure Rana’s okay”
Steve looked at her and said “What happened?”
She trapped herself in the freezer”
Steve said “Oh my! I’ve got to help her!”
Alex said “No Steve, you need your sleep. You have a very long day ahead of you tomorrow”
Steve said “You haven’t told me what we’re doing tomorrow”
Alex laughed “Remember? Tomorrow's your birthday?”
Steve then went back to sleep.
The next day when he woke up, Alex was not there, he yelled “Alex!”
Alex then came up with breakfast and brought it into the room.
She said “Morning. The PvP council is waiting downstairs for you.”
Steve said “You didn't think to wake me when they arrived?!”
“I just thought-”
“I’m in so much trouble now! I’m done for. Welp, goodbye forever legacy.”
Steve quickly got dressed and ate the breakfast Alex brought up for him.
He then rushed downstairs and the council was there.
Steve said “So sorry I’m late. This time it was unexpected”
The council said “No problem. We know it’s your birthday.”
Steve looked at them confused.
Alex then came downstairs and said “Ready to take him to the surprise?”
The council all nodded.
Alex said “Steve, close your eyes. We promise we will guide you.”
Rana then came down holding a box.
Alex said “Aww Rana, you knew the gift this year was a family gift. You weren't supposed to get him anything”
Rana said “Open it! I'm excited about this!”
Rana handed the box to Steve and said “Careful! Dedicate”
Steve opened the box and saw it was a decorated pot with the blade pattern.
Steve said “Aww, Rana. This was really unnecessary”
Alex then tied a blindfold to cover Steve’s eyes.
Steve said “Take this blindfold off of me” before grabbing his wooden sword and swinging it at Alex.
Alex said “Alrighty Steve. I’ll put it on you just before we get to the first gift. Now, you can either go with the council or come with us”
Steve stammered “But- But - But- But nobody not part of council is permitted to go anywhere with council”
Alex said “Umm guys help me out here.”
The council said “Alex, he’s right. When he became a legend ,that was true. That rule has gone unused though.”
Steve said “Council”
Alex then led Steve out to the council vehicle and the council let him in. Alex climbed in with the rest of the family and council.
The whole way there Steve laughed with the council about the most epic PvP fails of all time.
When they were about five minutes out, Alex put the blindfold on Steve.
When they got there, Alex helped him out. Once right in front of it, Rana took the blindfold off and said “Here you go”
Steve rubbed his eyes and aid “Why did you take me here? The PvP museum? I got banned from here that one year Noor touched the powerful sword here”
Alex said “Nope you aren’t banned. I talked to the council last night and they said they would get you unbanned”
Steve said “Mm hmm. Let me guess there's some derpy statue of me in it and that’s the gift this year”
Alex said “You’ll see”
Steve then saw Zuri and the rest of the family pull up next to them in another council vehicle.
Steve said “Hmm was getting unbanned one of my gifts?”
Zuri said “You didn’t go inside?”
Alex said “Steve woke up two hours later than expected so, we really couldn’t”
Zuri said “Can I just tell him?”
“Nah. We’ll go after everything else”
Steve said “I don’t want to get into more trouble!”
The council said “The desired destination please”
Zui then handed Steve a gift and said "open it!”
Steve slowly opened it and saw the rarest type of craftable sword; a diamond coated netherite sword with flecks of gold iron and emerald with stone and wood handle.
Steve said “Zuri? How did you get your hands on this?”
“Well if you must know… one of my teachers gave me this and one of my friends gave me one so, I only need one and honestly, my friend did say to give it to you”
Steve said “Aww guys. I told you when you spoil me like this I am embarrassed!”
Alex then said “Sorry.”
The council said “Hey Alex, we’re almost there!”
Alex blindfolded Steve again.
A few minutes later, they arrived.
Alex took the blindfold off and Steve said “Oh my gosh! I can’t believe it! You found the home I spent my days with my parents in”
Alex said “Yep. Now go inside!”
Steve went inside and saw everything was just like he remembered.
He said “Let me see if it’s still here!”
Alex looked at the council confused and followed Steve to his old room.
Steve saw his oldest award. He sighed and said “What I wouldn’t give to see my parents again.”
Steve then saw a photo of himself in front of a slime covered school smiling like he did that.
Then suddenly his entire childhood came back to him.
He wailed “My name isn’t really Steven Stonecutter; it’s Billy. I took my great grandfather’s name to hide my identity!”
Alex said “Steve, I’ll still be proud to call you Steve”
Steve wailed “But that’s not my name!”
The council sighed and said “We’re afraid we can’t let you be a legend anymore. We’ll hand the legacy to the next person we see that isn’t in your family. By the way you’ve soiled the fabric of PvP even more because of how long you did that”
Alex stepped in between them and said “I’ll split up with him so you can give it to me.”
The council said “Okay. Permanently move away from him. We will fill out the papers.”
Alex said “Steve, I’ll miss you”
Steve said “Me too”
Rana said “No! Give it to me! Don’t the rules state that the person had to be someone who is some kind of legend”
Steve then walked outside and fell right into lava.
Alex heard his screams and she saved him just before he died.
Alex said “Here, I’ll walk you back to the vehicle”
The council said “No! Only legends get to ride in this and since this is the home he has wanted to stay in for all his life, he has to stay here forever!”
Alex said “Steve I have a plan” and whispered “You need a lot of potions of invisibility though. So walk away and go inside.I’ll follow you. But, once inside-”
Steve whispered “That wouldn’t work. They can see invisibility”
Alex said “Please guys, don’t do this to him on his birthday!”
The council sighed heavily and said “Fine. We have one more stop to make before going back to the museum”
Steve wailed “Please no!” as tears filled his eyes.
Alex said “Steve, please? I promise you’ll love it”
Steve said “Is my first ever pet back?”
The council laughed and said “Nope”
Alex then helped Steve into the council vehicle and everyone else who came with them followed.
Zuri comforted Steve the whole way to their next destination.
When Steve got out, he was back home.
Alex said “What?! We had one more destination and then the museum.”
The council laughed “He will never get unbanned from there. We’re banning him”
Steve cried and said “Alex, were these the gifts?”
Alex said “Guys, please let him keep his title and keep him unbanned from the museum”
The council said “Fine!”
Alex then helped him out and said “Thank you so much for this wonderful day.”
Steve said “What’s so wonderful about it?”
Alex said “I was just trying to be kind.”
Steve sighed “I better go inside.”
Alex laughed warmly and said “Nope! We have one last stop”
Alex helped Steve into the car and took him to a small gathering of people and when Steve saw all his friends were there, he said “Aww, thanks”
Kathy (the villager) said “Steve, looks like you were crying for a long time”
Alex said “Umm well… he admitted his real name is Billy”
Steve said “Wait never mind. That was my father who did that”
Steve said “Also, I used to do epic pranks on everyone.”
Kathy said “Oh, I remember that! Remember that time you threw slime at everyone?”
Steve said “Yeah” and chuckled.
Efe then brought out a gift for Steve and said “Open it!”
Steve opened it and inside was a small sword.
Steve said “What am I supposed to do with this?”
Zuri said “This is a portable sword.”
“Huh?”
“Sorry. I’ll show you how it works”
Alex said “Zuri sweetie, Steve is having a bad day. Please just quickly show him”
Zuri pressed a button and the sword grew and then pressed another button and it folded back up.
Alex said “Zuri you knew we weren’t getting him anything!
Ari then gave a gift to Steve”
Steve opened the next gift to find an extremely lightweight sword.
Ari said “This is from me. It’s a feather sword”
“Feather sword? Is it strong? Durable?”
Zuri said “Yeah!”
“Oh my! I love this!”
Alex then said “Steve, this is the party you always wanted but never got.”
Steve said “Aww. Still missing something”
Alex said “Sunny! Activate it!”
Sunny activated a wall of redstone lamps and the wall said Steven Stonecutter one letter at a time and at the end a sword showed up.
Steve said “Oh my! This must’ve been so much!”
Alex said “Next thing will be in village 5,001. Well… after it gets dark”
Steve sighed and said “Just a sword with a message carved into it would’ve been enough to make me smile. This is way too much”
Noor said “Umm guys, perhaps you have forgotten I’m a greifer.”
Steve said “No we haven’t forgotten! You keep making us pay for things you break where you grief! Quite frankly, I was a much better greifer than you”
Noor said “But, I thought I was supposed to break things when I greif!”
Steve sighed “There are two main categories of greifing: destroying/burning and taking. I was the second type. I was hoping you wouldn’t be the first type”
Noor started to cry and said “I want to be both!”
Steve sighed. “Most of the things you break are supplies from the school.”
Alex said “Steve? Is this true?”
Steve nodded and said “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. I just wanted him to follow his dreams”
Alex said “Noor, We’re putting you in elytra next year!”
Steve said “Umm that’s expensive to repair elytras”
Alex said “What path should we pick for him next year?”
\Steve sighed and said “Building?”
Alex said “Okay.”
Noor said “How could you do this to me?! You said I could follow this path forever!”
Alex sighed and said “Fine, we’ll let you keep up your current path. But, we would like you to be a little more careful from now on.”
Alex said “And time to go back to the museum because he woke up late”
Alex and Steve headed to the museum with Rana.
When they got there, everyone was leaving.
Alex said “We Missed it?”
One of the guards locked the doors and turned to face Steve and said “Sorry guys. You have to wait until tomorrow and also weren’t you banned?”
Alex said “But the council said we weren’t banned anymore.”
The guard laughed “Nobody gets unbanned from this and the fact you even think you could needs to be reported. What are your names”
Steve gulped and said “Steven Stonecutter”
“Oh so you’re a legend?”
“Yeah”
