“Yeah. You know what? We’re partially giving Steve his old life back.”
The council said “Yeah. You can either get your ability back, your legacies back or your house and its contents back.”
Steve sighed and said “Well… my legacy is extremely important. So legacies.”
“Okay. You still can’t attend any games. That came with ability.”
Alex sighed and said “Guys, I think I can work off Steve’s damage. How many years of me cleaning for you guys?”
“With you? It will probably be at least three years. We’ll tell you when you can stop. Until then you’ll have to live like a member of council. So, follow all the rules.”
Alex said “Deal.”
Isabella then stuck her hand out and said “Steven Stonecutter, welcome back to the PvP family.”
Steve shook her hand and said “Thank you. I won’t let you down.”
Isabella grabbed Steve’s collar and said “But if you even tell anyone about this or break one more rule, you’ll be removed from the legends list faster than you can swing a feather sword”
“Feather sword?”
“Oh it’s a sword in the making. Do you understand the thing about getting removed?”
Steve nodded.
Isabella let go of Steve and said “Good! Now, leave! By the way, you can come back to your house in a few days”
“Okay.”
Alex asked “When do I start?”
Steve said “Alex, are you sure you want to go through with this? If you ever have second thoughts just call me and I’ll ask the council to remove my name again.”
Alex said “No Steve. I just want to see your smile every day now that you’re a legend again”
Steve said “Listen to me Alex. The life of a council member isn’t great! In fact it’s horrible! I mean yeah you do get to decide what legends get removed and which don’t. But, there are no other advantages.And with your job in council… I doubt you’ll even get that. Okay. You might not even ever be able to see me… well in person anyway.”
Isabella said “Steve, she has already agreed to everything. There is no turning back.”
Steve hugged Alex and said “I’ll miss you my little diamond sword”
Alex said “I’ll talk to you whenever I can.”
The rest of the council then came in and said Isabella Garcia, you’re going to have to resign being in the council and Steve, you don’t get anything back”
Steve said “Oh my! I feel so bad now. You know what? I’ll give up my last morsel of hope in becoming a legend again. Just get my family legacy back.”
“Fine, but we won’t give it to you. We’ll give it over to your family Alex.”
Steve patted Alex on the back and said “Alex, take care of my family legacy. You deserve it more than me.” and sighed and started to cry.
Alex said “Steve, would you prefer me having the legacy or nobody having it and the entire legacy being piled on Zuri?”
Steve sighed and said “You”
The council said “Steve, you will have to apologize for claiming her legacy for all these years.”
Steve sighed and said “Alex, I’m sorry.”
Alex said “There is nothing to be sorry for, you earned that legacy. You spent years perfecting PvP. I’m giving the legacy back over to you.” delicately
The council said “A;righty, nobody wants it. Guess it will have to go to Oliver and believe us, he’ll ruin it!”
“Worse than I did?”
“Oh. Definitely not. The very fiber of PvP is now dirty because of you!”
Alex sighed and said “On second thought.\, I’ll keep the legacy”
Steve looked at her angrily and said “I would prefer nobody having it to her family being my family”
The council said “Are you sure?”
Steve was going to say yes but before he could open his mouth, Alex said “He definitely doesn’t want that.” and whispered “Trust me, I know what I’m doing here.”
Steve said “Please don't try to get it back to me. That will only make the legacy move to someone else!”
The council said “Alex Alteris. You get all of Steve’s earthly possessions including his battle tapes.”
Steve sighed and said “I guess”
The council said “Oh and Steve, we’ll need your custom swords. We’ll have to carve her name into them”
Alex said “Okay. Can I give any of it back to Steve?”
“Yes…. you can give him a clay sword back. But besides that… he gets nothing he used to get.”
Steve burrowed his face into his hands and said “Welp. Great job Alex. You deserve the legacy much more than I ever did.”
Rana then yelled “I was the one who made those calls with fake PvP tips. So if you must punish anyone, punish me.”
Steve grabbed Rana and took her outside.
He said “Rana, the punishments they do for that, are way way worse than your worst nightmare. Trust me.”
Rana said “I want to go home!”
Steve sighed “Are you really willing to go to the isolation chamber for a month?”
Rana said “Yes”
Steve then took Rana back inside and one of the council members said “Alright kid! You have to go to the deep void for a month”
Alex said “Wait a minute! Since I'm technically part of the council, I can say she can’t do that. Right?”
Steve burrowed his face in his hands and said “So long legacy”
The council said "Unless Steve wants to take the blame for it.”
Alex whispered “I saw him do it. Throw him into the deep void”
The council said “Ohh no! Since he’s a former legend, he gets the void of the void. He has to stay there for a month.”
Steve glared at Alex like he was looking into her darkest thoughts.
He yelled “How could you?!”
Alex said “I’m sorry, I just wanted to do the right thing.”
“Well, ever think of what could happen to me?!”
“I’m sorry, I’m still shocked I now have control over your family’s entire legacy”
“Yeah. My legacy will do that to you” and chuckled.
Alex said “Maybe I can talk to them to let you go. And maybe even get your legacy back. Just go to the playground area with Rana”
Steve went with Rana and three hours later, Alex came out and said “Welp it wasn’t easy but I managed to get your family legacy back. I also got back your ability to attend events. Your personal legacy still belongs to me though”
“And my punishment?”
“Oh. They said "a few days in the starvation chamber now.”
Steve said “Aww Alex, I really appreciate what you did. But with my title, you’re pretty much better than me.”
Alex said “No Steve. They said I could pick which one you wanted. I chose family legacy because well…I thought that’s the one you appreciate more”
Steve said “I thought it was my family legacy too. But, I was a lot happier before I knew about my family legacy than I am now”
“Oh. I’m sorry.”
Alex said “Brilliant idea! I just have to ask the council a few things”
“What’s your idea?”
“Break enough rules to make them have to give it back to you”
Steve said “Alex, they’ll never give it back to me at this point. Trust me. I’m technically not even supposed to be allowed to get it back. I only got it back because one of your friends was on the decision team and your friend wants you to be happy meaning I have to be happy!”
Alex said “True. I did argue that. But now they request you inside. Rana, come inside with us!”
Rana yelled “Mom look how high up I am!”
Alex looked up at her who was tanning atop a tall beam.
Alex yelled “Rana! What are you doing?! You’re gonna fall and hurt yourself!”
Rana then looked down at Alex and said “I’m not going to fall.” just before she began to fall.
Alex ran to catch her but didn’t successfully catch her.
Rana then started screaming in pain.
Alex said “Steve, you can either stay with me and Rana to make sure she’s okay or go to the council.”
Steve said “Council.”
Alex said “You make me sick Steve!”
Steve then walked back into the council building and had a small meeting with the council where they said he got none of his possessions back and almost everything would never be back to normal..
