Then they headed to a nearby hotel.
Once there, Steve got out and opened the back door and said “Kids, get out”
Rana got out and Steve said “Kids, get out!”
Alex patted Steve’s back and said “We had to part ways with them for a few years”
Steve then walked in with Rana and Alex said “Room for Alex Stonecutter.” sadly.
The one at the desk said “Room 284.” and handed over the key.
Alex said “Steve, Get the bags”
Steve went to the car and pulled the bags into the hotel.
Alex went with her family to the room.
Once there, Rana said “Can we please go to the arcade?”
Steve said “Sure, I’ll be coming with you” and went to the arcade with Rana.
Once down there, Rana asked for 25 diamonds.
Steve gave 50 diamonds to the one running it.
The one who he gave 50 diamonds to said “Steve Stonecutter? Where are the rest of your kids?”
“They’re on their own now.”
“Oh… that’s why. Here’s your 100 tokens” and handed Steve his tokens.
Steve gave half to Rana.
Steve then noticed a fancy looking token and asked what it was.
The person laughed and said “The golden token. It’s worth 100 diamonds.”
Steve said “I see. What advantages does it have over a regular?”
“It can get you into an escape room.”
Rana said “Please?”
Steve sighed and said “Sure!” and gave 200 diamonds to them.
He got 2 golden tokens and took Rana to the escape room.
When he got there, the one at the escape rooms said “Steven Stonecutter? I guess you want the PvP one”
Steve said “Nah, I want the one with a little of everything”
“Okay, that one is one token””
Steve said “Yeah. I want the PvP one.”
The person said “That would be two tokens please”
Steve gave the tokens and they got sealed in the PvP escape room.
First Steve said “Alright Rana, first we need to find the sword and sword portal.
“Sword portal?”
“Yeah. I had to do like 20 of these to become a master. All of them have one”
Steve looked everywhere for one.
When he couldn’t find anything, he said “Hey Rana! Find anything?”
“I did find a diamond sword that looks and feels like a gold one.”
Steve said “Hand it over” and got handed the sword.
Steve inserted it into the portal and a door opened.
Steve ran inside the room the door led to and looked at the paper on the wall and saw it said “to those who dare touch the sword are brave enough to claim this award.
Steve said “Wait what?! This clue makes absolutely no sense! I mean I’ve always been terrible at these… but this one really makes no sense.They usually make a little sense”

Steve sat down with Rana and they thought for an hour.
Rana said, "Let me look.”
Steve said “Here, I guarantee you won’t understand it”
“You realize you’re talking to the one that spent a year at that PvP fair?”
Steve said “And I’ve been doing PvP for over 60 years before you were born!”
“Just give me the paper!”
Steve handed her the paper. Rana took the paper , read it and said “What sword? The sword in the portal? There’s no sword picture on here.”
Then it hit him.
Steve said “I think I got it give me the paper”
Rana handed him the paper and he took it.
Steve looked at the paper and on the back, he saw a drawing of a sword.
Steve said “Okay this is a diamond with netherite specs coated in gold.”
“How do you know it isn’t just gold?”
“”When you take advanced PvP classes you’ll learn a few things. But, some of the ways. For one the color is slightly different. You need them side by side to know how to tell. Two, there are little bubbles meaning flecks and the flecks are the shape of netherite flecks.”
Steve said “Okay halfway there we know it involves a diamond with netherite specs coated in gold sword.. But what about are brave enough to claim this award? Probably has to do something with PvP awards and legends get PvP awards and we have to be brave to battle a legend. We know it involves: a diamond with netherite specs coated in gold and PvP legends. To claim this award and brave to touch the sword…. Hmm that’s tough.”
Steve then thought about it for a few hours
Then he said “May have something to do with greifing. That’s it! There was one person who hated greifing so much that he literally had the awards in a bedrock box with a phone operated door. Anyway that person is” he said as he began to stand up. “Veronica Moss!”
Rana said “But what does that mean?”
“It means we found the answer to the riddle”
And he entered that name into the button wall.
The door slid open
Steve then went up to the paper on the wall and it said This legacy;s family is over five generations. They are the family of PvP. Imitate one of the two most recent ones into the microphone while pressing record”
Steve went up to the recording booth and talked into the microphone and said “I am Steven Stonecutter the all mighty PvP legend”
The machine voice said “Voice matches Steve’s voice exactly”
Then the room went dark.
Steve yelled “Umm there are people in here!”
Nobody turned on the lights.
Steve yelled louder “Umm there are still people here!”
Nobody came.
Steve sighed “I guess we’re stuck in here for the night.”
Rana said “So you have your phone?”
Steve said “Uhh… no sorry”
Rana said “Anything that will help us find something soft?”
Steve said “I do have this tiny little keychain that lights up with me”
He took it out and turned it on.
Steve saw nothing soft. So, he said “Hate to say it, I think we’re stuck in here with no beds for the night”
Rana said “Wait? What?”
Steve said “I’m so hungry! At least with the crafting one there would be food!”
Rana said “Umm if it would please you I do have some pufferfish”
Steve said “I shouldn’t… I couldnt… I can't!... Hand it to me”
Rana said “Oh sorry, I kind of forgot, that was in our food bag which is in our room..”
Steve then helped Rana to a soft looking spot that was made of wood.
He said “You get the one wooden part. I got the stone. Trust me… I know these aren’t ideal sleeping conditions. But, I do have one small inflatable pillow. I’ll let you be the one to use it.”
Steve quickly inflated the pillow and handed it to Rana.
Rana layed down and fell asleep within an hour. While Steve was up until 11:00 trying to get comfortable. He fell asleep shortly after.
Meanwhile, Alex was crying her heart out wailing “He died! He’ll never come back! He may have dumped me because of something I did. Either way, I can’t believe he’s really gone.'' She stayed up crying all night.
The next morning, when the lights turned on again Steve woke up instantly and then woke up Rana.
Rana said “Hey Steve, That was so uncomfortable! The pillow wasn’t that soft!”
Steve said “I know. But trust me I’ve had to do it without on pretty much every one of these.It’s better with”
Then they continued to the escape room and thirty minutes later, they emerged from the escape room.
The person running the escape rooms said “You were in there all night!? Oh my! Are you here with anyone?”
“Yeah. Alex”
“What room?”
