Alex said “Steve! You’ve gotten your title taken away enough times you should know when
they’re going to take your title away! Come on, before they take it away”
The guard said “Too late. And this time you’re gone from the list forever. It will stay on the site with a countdown to removal for 24 hours. Now this time it won’t be just passed to another person. You used that and you got it back after the offer. But now you lost it again, so we’re afraid we have to permanently remove it. Now go home before we put you on the list of PvP frauds. We’ll be coming by your house in three hours to see if you’re there. If you're not there, you’ll be put on the list! Or is it the PvP list of failures? Or the list of Has-beens''
He pulled out a book and said “Ah yes whichever you think is worst”
Alex whispered “Now’s the chance for a slight bit of happiness in your life pick whichever you think is best”
Steve said “Umm they’re all equally bad. But, the list of frauds is the worst” and sighed heavily.
The guard said “And done. No changing your mind now.” and walked off.
Steve wailed “I just couldn’t do it! I had to tell the truth. Lies are how I got into this mess. I thought the truth would get me out but I was wrong!”
Alex said “I understand. Now, would you like your last birthday gift which if we do that we won’t get home in time. Or would you like to go home and never get your last birthday gift”
“Never? Can’t I just get it tomorrow?”
“It’s an event so, no”
Steve sighed and said “Up to you I really don’t want there to be no list with me. But I don’t want to be on the list I dreaded being on either.”
Alex said “Okay you seem more upset about there being no list with your name on it, let’s go”
They went back to the park where everyone else was and when they got there an ocean of tears was pouring down Steve’s face.
Everyone said “Steve!? What happened”
Alex said “Would you like me to tell them?”
Steve wailed “My legacy got totally removed! Now I’ll be on the list of PvP frauds and it’s all thanks to this. This is the worst birthday ever!” and stormed off.
Alex quickly walked after him and said “Please, just turn around the show will start any moment now!”
Steve turned around to see a fancy fireworks display and a bunch of beacons spell his name in the air and then morph into two swords fighting.
That made Steve cry even harder and he yelled “Take me home!” repeatedly.
Alex said “There’s still more.”
Steve said “No! My legacy meant more than everything in this world put together. To me it meant more than Daniel!”
Alex said “Rana, honey,we’re going home”
Noor and all the siblings said “What about us?”
Alex said “Umm If you can’t tell Steve is very emotional right now, I don’t think that’s wise”
“How will we get to where we’re getting dropped off?”
Alex said “Fine, I’ll take you there but no talking to Steve!”
Zuri said “Even me?”
Alex nodded and sai “Zuri, if he’s up all night crying like this, I’ll call you”
Everyone got to the drop off area and dropped off all the siblings.
Alex said “Steve, think of it this way… at least you have your memories and PvP items”
Steve sighed “With my luck, they’ll probably take them all away”
“You still have your memories”
“My memories have never brought me joy for more than a few minutes”
“Umm you still have your family and friends:
“I mean they’ve seen me through some pretty tough times. But, they never guided me when times were darkest for me!”
Alex said “I give up. Cry all you want. But save it for when you’re alone please”
Then they arrived home.
Steve ran in and ran to the computer and went to the legends list to see the countdown.
Alex said “Steve, aren’t you going to come to bed?”
“I’m staying here for the last hours of being on the list.
Alex said “I’ll just stay down here with you to keep you from dying”
Steve said “Nah. I’m fine!”
He then stopped crying and Alex went to sleep.
The next morning when she woke up, he was dead. He was holding his phone.
Alex turned it on and played the last words he ever said. “Dear Alex, if you're hearing this I am long dead. IIt’s probably from crying too much.Call my friends to tell them that I've died. If any ask why I didn't tell them, just tell them that I didn't have the strength. Alex, I’ve loved you since the day I met you. With my last ounce of strength I will say I want my legacy back. Even though I’ll never be able to enjoy it again. I’ve already sent voice messages to the other kids. I only have a tiny bit of strength left. With that I’ll say the time we spent together was amazing. We had difficulties at times but we pulled through. PvP forever! By the way, do whatever you want with my PvP relics. My last favor is to call the council to tell them I have died. Goodbye Alex. One final thing: don't try to respawn me. With my final little tiny bit of strength I will try to make everyone a gift. It will be on the table.” then silence
