Steve and Alex went up to their room and closed the door.
Alex said “The truth is, I used to do pro elytra. I did it until that one time where a trick I was doing went completely wrong. The trick was the most advanced elytra trick ever; the double flip spiral fly up. It went totally disastrous! I landed crunched up in a tiny cube.”
Steve said “Oh, when did you quit?”
“About age 12”
Steve said “12?! You could have easily become a legend.”
“I really didn’t want to do my family’s legacy. Unlike you.”
Then all the other kids came home.
Steve came out of the room and said “Welcome home guys!”
Noor sighed and said “Steve? Am I special?”
Steve looked at Noor lovingly and said “Everybody is.”
“Can you help me fill out the survey I got today?”
Steve said “Let me look”
Noor handed over a survey and Steve said “This is a year in review survey Noor. This is to show how much you improved since the beginning”
Noor said “Please? I’ll care for your every need.”
Steve said “No!” and handed the paper back.
Alex said “Steve, Zuri is crying in the corner!”
Steve went up to Zuri and said “Zuri, why are you crying?”
“A big strong PvP legend like you wouldn’t understand”
Steve said “If it is PvP, I’ll probably get it”
Zuri said “It is not”
“What is it?”
“It is”...” she cried even harder “I’ll never see any of my friends again. They’re moving to the far south region of PvP”
Steve said “How about this Zuri, I’ll set up a nice pool party with an ice cream social for you and your close friends”
Zuri said “Really?”
Steve nodded.
Noor said “I’ll never see mine either!”
Steve scoffed and said “You think just because Zuri gets a party with her friends you do?! Well… you don’t! Zuri is my favorite!”
Alex laughed nervously and said “We both love all of you the exact same”
Steve looked at Alex and said “Yeah” sarcastically
All the kids said “Can we please have what Zuri is getting?”
Steve sighed and said “With time”
Zuri said “When will mine be?”
“Tomorrow”
Zuri said “Really?”
Alex said “We do have the supplies”
Zuri said “What’s the maximum?”
“You know what? Since you have graduated, I’ll limit it to 100.”
Alex said “Steve, we don’t have the space for 100 people. How about 50?”
“Okay”
Zuri texted 50 of her friends and all sent a thumbs up emoji.
Alex said “Guess we better get more ice cream.”
Zuri said “What toppings will we get?”
“Oh, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, peanuts, peanut butter, sprinkles, hot fudge, marshmallows, chocolate chips and cherries.”
All the other kids said “Are we also invited?”
Steve said “Yeah sure”
The next day, at around 1:30. 50 kids came into Steve’s house and said “Ice cream please!”
Steve said “Alex is getting it”
Ten minutes later, Alex yelled “Ice cream!”
All the kids ran to the ice cream and practically shoved to get their ice cream. By the time Zuri got to the front of the line there was no ice cream left.
Zuri started to cry and Steve looked around and saw that nobody else was going to give her any.
Steve whispered “Zuri, you can have my special Ice cream that Alex buys just for me.”
“What type of ice cream is it?”
“Oh, it’s a vanilla with chocolate chunks and graham crackers mixed in with a peanut butter swirl”
Alex said “Remember Steve, if you share that ice cream, I’ll never get it for you again!”
Steve looked at Zuri then at Alex then back at Zuri.
He said “Alex, I’m doing what I feel is the right thing. Give Zuri some of my ice cream.”
Steve went over to the freezer and found there was only enough for one more serving.
Steve scooped it out and put it in a bowl and handed it to Zuri very near tears.
Zuri said “Steve, I don’t want to do this if it will make you cry.”
Steve said “Nope! I’m fine without.”
Steve then said “I think I need to be left alone for a few minutes.”
Zuri said “Steve, if you want, you may have the rest of mine.I don't really like it.”
Steve turned a little red and yelled “You listen here Zuri! You cost me getting that ice cream again! You will eat all of it!”
Zuri said “I’m going to give the rest of it to you.” and handed it over to Steve.
Steve began to cry and said “I’ll remember this day forever.”
Zuri then changed into her swimsuit and went right into the pool.
An hour later, the council arrived.
The council said “We’ve been told there was a legend that was getting a graduation party that another legend suggested and is throwing for the legend before the council. Is this true?”
Steve sighed and said “Yes. I know. I have to hand in my special award for becoming a legend.”
The council put their hand out indicating for him to stop.
The council said “No Steve! For this you will have to make your first name Sally and all your PvP skill and knowledge will be removed with our new state of the art knowledge remover. Show up at 8:00 tonight at the council building. Enjoy your last hours with vast PvP knowledge. By the way, your legacy is permanently removed.”
Steve cried and said “Will I at least get to keep the memories of all my battles?”
“The council chatted for a few minutes and said “Since you can remember strategies for PvP from them, no! By the way, tomorrow we’re going to take all your books about PvP so you will not be able to relearn everything. By the way, you don’t have a last name anymore! We were just kidding about the Sally thing.”
Steve nodded and said “I understand. I can assume I’m now permanently not a legend.”
“Yeah”
Steve stormed to the pool and yelled “Alright, which one of you told the council? I know it was one of you!”
Zuri left the pool and said “It was me Steve. I’m sorry. I didn’t know what would happen, I swear!”
Alex then left and said “Zuri, apologize to Steve this instant! You ruined his life! He’s spent his entire life as a Stonecutter now that’s going to be taken away from him!”
Zuri said “I’m sorry Steve. I’ll do everything in my power to save your legacy”
Noor then left the pool and said “Steve, losing everything isn’t the end of the world”
“Yes it is!”[
That night at 5:00 Steve started to cry and said “Goodbye villagers. I’ll be totally different when I get home. I won’t know anything about PvP”
The villagers all gasped and said “Steve! The council doing that is only done under the most extreme of circumstances! What did you do?”
“Threw Zuri a graduation party before the council. I know it all sounds so ridiculous”
Kathy said “You know what Steve? I will do everything in my power to stop them!”
Steve said “Aww Kathy, that’s why we have always been closest”
Steve then got into the car and his family went to the council building.
They arrived at 7:55.
Steve said “Alex? I’m going to go inside. I need you to hold my hand while they do this.”
Alex said “Anything for your last wish before your memory gets wiped”
Then someone came out and said “Steve, you can have two requests and an additional person holding your hand counts as both. Also Zuri, if you ever try to reteach him anything, you will be removed from the legend list so fast!”
Alex said “I have to come with him to hold his hand.”
Steve said “Zuri will hold my hand and I want the sounds of PvP to be played while it is happening.”
“We’ll see what we can do.” and walked them all in.
20 minutes later, someone came out and said “Steve, we’re ready for you. You may only have two people with you.”
Steve said “Alex and Zuri”
The person said “Alright. You may have one person comforting you. They can’t be the same person as one of the ones holding your hand”
“Sunny”
“Alright””
Then the person took all of them in and sat Steve in a comfy chair and locked him in.
Alex said “Sunny, would you mind switching places with me?”
Sunny said “Yeah.”
Steve said “Okay”:
Then someone came out holding a strange looking helmet.
Sunny and Zuri ran up to Steve and started to hold his hand and pat it.
Alex said “You may not have PvP much longer but, you’ll always have us.”
Then the one who put the helmet on said “Ready Steve?”
Steve said “A few minutes. Just so my PvP life can be remembered”
“You’ll still remember the main events that happened just not the specifics”
An hour later the person who put the helmet on said “Steve, we have waited long enough. We’re about to activate it”
Steve said “One minute. I’ve just got to give Zuri one last piece of advice about PvP”
“Fine”
“Do sprint and jump attacks”
Zuri said “I’ll always remember this”
Steve said “Zuri, my legacy is now ending. I trust you to carry it on.”
The council members all laughed and yelled “Your family legacy is over. Not your personal legacy”
Steve said “Alex.”
Alex said “I’m afraid I’ve done all the comforting I can do. All I can say now is I’ll love you even without the PvP knowledge”
Then they activated the machine and five minutes later, they took it off and said “You’re allowed to go.”
Steve said “Zuri, I’m sorry. I can’t give you feedback on your… what are those PvP events… what are they called? Well… whatever they’re called anymore”
Zuri said “It’s fine. Something always helps you out of this.”
The PvP council said “Oh Sunny, if you do manage to restore his memory, you’ll be a redstone failure!”
Sunny said “Okay” and they all left.
Just before they got into their car a council member said “Wait Steve! I’m on your side. I’ll do everything in my power for your memory to be restored. You just have to pass this PvP quiz.”
Steve sighed and said “Okay”
He pulled out a sword and did the triple spin attack. He said “What is that called”
Steve said “The triple spin attack?”
“Lastly, what is the most popular type of battle?”
Steve said “I used to know this! Is it spleef?”
Zuri said “No Steve! It’s the kind you used to do!”
“Gladiator combat
Then the council came out and said “Steve, we hear you just got some answers correct about PvP. BUT, we’re going to restore your memory. Living without your last name will be hard enough for you.” and restored his memory.
He said “Am I still a legend?”
“Yes”
Then they all went home and Steve sighed and said “How relieved I am to know my memory is safe.”
Zuri started to cry and said “Steve, don't you see what’s going on? They’re canceling all your punishments so they can slam you with the death chamber next time!”
Steve said “Wait what?!”
Alex laughed and said “Zuri, it’s bedtime. It’s past midnight.”
Zuri said “I don’t have to listen to either of you! All of us are adults now! We can do as we please. Oh and by the way, tomorrow, I’m going to the PvP festival and I got the last ticket to it too. So, if I know you, you forgot about it.”
Steve said “Zuri! You are going to be in very deep trouble!”
Alex laughed and said “Zuri! Go ahead and stay up all night. You will have a headache all day tomorrow.”
Steve and Alex went to bed and Zuri followed.
