Chapter Three
Plan B
"So, at night, we break into Ms. Rodriguez's house and borrow her dog (no, honestly, we will return her dog). Then, we will take her dog to Savannah's house. If the dog is awake, Savannah will sing her a lullaby. In the morning, we will let Luther and Lola unite.," said Griffin. "So, what do we do in the day? Is Melissa involved?," said Ben. "One: we prepare for our plan (napping suggested, we will be awake most of the night). Two: No, this is not a tech- savvy operation.," said Griffin. Savannah laughed.
That night, Griffin, Ben, and Savannah went down the street to Ms. Rodriguez's house. They were all wearing black, even though Griffin did not mention that in the plan. "If we are breaking in, which way are we going in?," said Ben. "Through the window.," said Griffin.
Savannah opened the window. Griffin and Ben went through before she did. When they got in, Griffin closed the window. "Follow my lead.," said Griffin. They walked into the bedroom. "Be quiet.," whispered Griffin. Everyone was silent as they tiptoed toward the pink dog bed of Lola the doberman. Savannah picked her up with great caution. "Come on!," whispered Griffin. They got out of the bedroom. Ben gently closed the door.
They got out through the window and made their way to Savannah's house with Lola.
