Steve began to cry and said “Why did I have to let the trainer touch my award?”
Alex left with the kids and Zuri said “Is he going to be alright with nobody to talk to for a month? If not, I want to go in there with him!”
Alex said “He’s going to be alright. He just won’t be able to tell you anything in the first month of you being a legend.”
Zuri started to cry and said “Can we try and visit every week?”
Alex said “I’ll go back and check.” and headed back.
Once back, the council said “What are you back here for? To provide him with his books?”
Alex said “Well… he always has one book in the car with him in case. Zuri, do you know where it is?”
“Yeah. in the glovebox”
Alex looked through the glovebox and found the books and handed them over and said “Can we please visit him weekly?”
The council said “Well…yes. But, only for an hour.”
Zuri said “Make it two hours or I’ll attack! You know I will.”
The council said “No, you won’t. That ceremony earlier wasn’t actually an initiation ceremony. It was a banning ceremony and we’re going to take all the PvP things in your house!”
Zuri said “No! You can’t! You won’t! Alex, let me battle them!”
Alex sighed and crouched down and said “Zuri, I don’t know as much about this as Steve. All I know is you do not want to argue with these guys. They can annihilate you in a matter of seconds.”
The council said “Geez, you guys are all so gullable! We won’t take anything from you! The ceremony wasn’t a banning ceremony and you can visit as long as you want in a week. As long as you don't do it for more than one day a week!”
Steve then got handed the books.
The council said “He’s allowed his phone”
Steve said “Thanks. Hand it to me.”
Alex reached out to Steve but got slapped by a council member and the council member said “Only we can reach in there.”
Alex handed over Steve’s phone and the council handed it to him.
Alex then wrote down Steve’s favorite meals and said “Alright, give him one of these every week please. I want him to be happy there.”
One of the council members said “Do you have the recipes on you?”
Alex nodded and handed them over.
One of the members said “Welp, it’s his bedtime for him. See you this Saturday”
Alex said “Bye!” and left with the kids.
Sunny said “Alex, is Steve going to be alright?”
Alex sighed and said “Maybe not. He may have a totally different personality when he emerges.”
When they got home, Alex started to sob in her room and said “Why couldn’t I have told them I accidentally broke all his awards.”
Zuri came in and said “Alex, I know you will probably want someone to sleep with you while Steve is stuck in the status effect chamber. I was thinking that since both me and him are PvP legends, I could sleep with you.”
Alex said “Aww Zuri, I don’t need that. I would really like that though. You’ve been temporarily promoted to Steve. You still have to go to school though. I’ll tell the kids tomorrow. Right now, I’ll tell them to go to bed.”
Zuri said “Umm… will my trainer still come here?”
Alex sighed and said “Honestly. I don’t know. If she does I’ll be ready.” and stretched her arms.
Alex then told all the kids to go to bed.
Noor said “Why should we?! We only listen to Steve telling us to go to bed!”
Alex said “You do realize how close the game me and him we did when we first met was. Right?”
“Sorry. We’ll go to bed. It just feels weird with you telling us to go to bed and nobody watching PvP shows right now”
Alex said “I know. I’ll have to get used to it too.” and everyone went to bed.
Alex got to her room and said “Zuri, bedtime.”
Zuri got changed and climbed into bed with Alex.
Alex turned off the light on her nightstand and said “Night Zuri.”
At midnight, all the kids came running in saying “Steve… he’s dying!”
Alex said “Probably just a bad dream.”
Zuri said “Umm Alex, check your phone.”
Alex picked up her phone and checked her messages.
She saw a message from Steve saying he was sick of this place.
Alex said “Just a dream. Go back to bed”
All the kids said “Please let us sleep with you tonight.”
Alex said “No! I want it to be as close as possible to normal.”
The next Saturday, Alex and the kids went to the chamber and to their horror, Steve wasn’t there.”
Alex asked the nearest council member “Where’s Steve?”
The council member said “I thought he was in there!”
Then Alex saw Steve’s book being opened.
Alex said “Oh. Must be invisibility right now! May you turn it off?”
“Nope! In a minute it will change though.”
A minute later the status effect changed to hunger.
Steve ran to the window and reached through the bars to touch Alex. But, his hand got caught in between them.
The council member said “Steve, we got you.” and destroyed the block and Steve removed his hand from where the block was and said “Alex, I’m so happy to see you. Any food on you?”
Alex said “Umm I do have this raw porkchop and this beef.”
Steve said “Give me all your food!”
Alex gave Steve her pork chops and beef.
Steve devoured all the food and said “Still need more!”
Alex said “Hunger status effect huh? I really shouldn't have given you that food”
Steve said “Need more food!”
Alex said “No! How’s it going?”
Steve said “Come on! Food! I need more food!”
The council said “Alexis Alteris, for giving him food, you’ll have to be thrown in there for a week.”
Steve said “Alex, say I didn’t know! Please. You’re too weak to survive in these conditions!”
Alex said “I honestly didn’t know!”
Steve said “Please let me out early, I didn’t let anyone else touch my awards!”
The council said “Guys, did any of you break them?”
Steve looked hopefully at Alex.
Alex said “I did. Accidentally.”
The council said “Steve, you’re free to go. Alex, you need to go to a class about respecting legends!”
Alex said “Okay, I’ll go.”
The council said “Tomorrow. Council building at noon.”
Alex nodded and Steve was let out.
Steve said “Thanks. Also, you’re the worst!”
Alex said “Come home with me.”
Steve climbed inside the car with the rest of the family and said “Come on!”
