Steve said “Very tempting. But, still no!”
“”Fine! I guess Noor is suspended!”
Steve said “Okay fine I’ll do it. Even though I am the worst at that kind of thing.”
The teacher said “Just kidding Steve. You don’t have to continue coming here.”
Noor then got up and went to the chalkboard while Steve wasn’t looking and drew a circle.
When Steve saw that he yelled “Noor! What are you doing!? You’re going to get us in trouble!”
Then the teacher looked over at Noor and said “Office now!”
Noor said “Which-”
Steve cut him off and said “He’s just a little crazy at times. Sorry.”
“You too mister!” said the teacher.
Steve said “Alright! That’s it! No party for you Noor! You’ll be lucky if I get you a gift or cake!”
Noor started to cry and wailed “I’m sorry”
“Yeah right” said Steve sarcastically “You’re sorry now. But, in a week or so I’ll get a call from school saying you did this again. Now I know why nobody wants to be your friend!”
The teacher said “Steve! Noor! Office NOW!”
Steve tightly grabbed Noor’s arm and pulled him to the office.
When the principal saw them he said “Steven Stonecutter?! You still go to this school?! Geez. Been over 60 years!”
“Hi principal Warcheck.” said Steve unhappily
Noor said “Hi weirdo!”
Steve said “Noor!” sternly “You keep going like this you’ll be grounded for three years!”
“Sorry Steve.”
The principal said “Noor come in. Steve you also come.”
Steve and Noor followed the principal to his office.
The principal said “Noor! Your teacher Ms. Clinechester said you drew the forbidden shape! And Steve, you just sat there as he did it!”
Steve said “I was actually talking to the teacher. So, I couldn’t keep an eye on him.”
The principal said “Noor anything you’d like to say?”
Noor said “I did it because I wanted attention.” and started to cry.
The principal said “Noor you are hereby SUSPENDED for three weeks! And Steve, I’m afraid you’ll have to go to hardcore for three days.”
Noor said “Steve, what does this mean?”
“It means you’re in BEDROCK DEEP TROUBLE!”
The principal said “Someone will take both of you to hardcore!”
Steve said “Please sir! There’s got to be another way!”
“Well…you could pay for all new supplies for the school.”
“How much?” and sighed
“50,000 diamonds and 10,000 emeralds”
Steve nodded and paid and said “We should go now!”
The principal said “No! And Steve, Noor has to be sent to Ghast’s lodge.”
“The toughest camp in the NETHER?!”
“Yup”
Noor said “Please! Don’t make me go! I’ll make myself sick! I know how!”
“You have to!”
Noor sighed and said “Fine.”
Steve said “ Now can we go?”
The principal said “Yeah! Just get out of my sight!”
Steve left with Noor and sternly said “Do you have any idea how much this camp of your’s will cost?!!”
Noor hung his head shamefully and said “I’m sorry.”
Steve said “I’ll be waking you up at 5:00 AM EVERY MORNING WHILE YOU’RE SUSPENDED! And don’t think you’ll be sitting around eating cookies all day! Because I’ll make you do lots of schoolwork!”
Then the principal came out and gave Steve the assignments Noor was going to miss.
“AND ON TOP OF THAT, YOU’LL HAVE TO GO WITHOUT DINNER FOR THREE DAYS!”
“But Steve!” whined Noor.
“BUT NOTHING! And just for that you’ll have to… explain it to the rest of the family. INCLUDIN\G ALEX!!”
“So? Alex is good natured”
“No. no. No, she really isn’t. When she’s mad; boy oh boy does she get mad. Come on. Let’s go”
Steve dragged Noor to the car. Noor was crying the whole way.
Steve said “Noor! And you’ll have to have advanced PvP lessons every day after the rest of us have dinner!”
Steve then drove home. Alex was surprised to see Noor and Steve.
She said “Steve, what happened?!”
“I told Noor to explain!”
Noor said “I got suspended for three weeks. Please don’t be mad.”
Steve said “For what??”
“Drawing the forbidden shape.”
Alex said “Steve, are there any other punishments?”
Steve said “Yes. He has to go to Ghast’s lodge”
Alex calmly said “Do you have any idea of how much that costs?!”
“Yes. But, we have to send him.”
“But what about his friends?”
Steve said “Noor, I may be extremely furious with you. I want you to not hear this.”
Noor left.
Steve said “I’ve seen how he tries to make friends. It will never work. He’ll never make friends. He just acts too differently.”
Alex nodded and then listened closely and she heard Noor quietly sobbing behind the door.
She came over to Noor and comforted him.
About an hour and a half later, the rest of the kids came home.
Sunny said “Why is Noor here already?”
Noor said “I know. I have to explain.”
Steve nodded.
Noor said “I got suspended for three weeks for drawing the forbidden shape.”
“What?!”
“You heard me?”
Steve said “Yeah.”
Then Steve said “Oh and tomorrow is Noor’s birthday. Remember to get him a gift.” and chuckled under his breath.
Noor said “Steve, may I have a word with you in private?”
“Sure.” Steve led Noor to his room and shut the door.
Noor said “Umm a few questions and an observation. First question is will you let me have cake and gifts tomorrow?”
“I’ll think about it.”
“Will we go out to eat tomorrow?”
“No way! We have to save all we can to pay for your ridiculous nether correctional facility.”
“And the observation. I thought you said Alex would be very angry at me. She seems perfectly happy.”
Steve said “Let me be honest with you. Me and her share a special bond. She is extremely angry right now. I know she will start yelling at you within an hour.”
“Can you protect me?”
“You got yourself into this; you can get out.”
“Please?! I’ll give you the sword of infinity”
“No! That’s the most famed PvP item ever! It’s in the council headquarters protected by five tripwires all side by side!”
Alex yelled “Noor get down here this INSTANT!”
Steve said “What did I tell you?”
“Please? Just protect me for five more minutes!”
Steve said "there is one way; but, it involves me yelling at you. Who do you prefer?”
“You.”
Steve yelled “I’m currently scolding him!”
Alex yelled “Why not yell together? We haven’t done anything together in forever!”
Steve yelled “Fine!”
Noor said “No!”
Steve said “Hey, don’t you think I have a plan?”
“Nope.”
Then Alex entered.
Steve sank to his knees and yelled “I admit it! I said I was scolding him when I was just trying to protect him.”
Alex nodded and said “Both of you are going to get into a massive yelling moment now.” she took a deep breath and yelled “Steve! You lied to me you promised you would never lie to me no matter what when we got married! and noor! you got suspended for three weekS! Both of you are in serious trouble! i won’t get either of you gifts for your birthdays this year and steve, nothing for our anniversary either!”
Steve said “Is that all?”
“Yes. But Noor, don’t think you have heard the last of this. Steve, you’ve heard the last of this. Noor, me and Steve are going to yell at you every day for 20 minutes at least until you go to your expensive correctional camp.”
Noor started to cry and said “Steve, please help me!”
“No! You cost me 50,000 diamonds and 10,000 emeralds”
Alex looked at Noor and yelled “50,000 diamonds and 10,000 emeralds?!”
Steve said “It was either that or have both of us sent to hardcore!”
“Oh. You made the correct choice.”
Three weeks later, Stve was all worn out from just trying to teach Noor all day.
The day Noor went back, he came home with a friend.
Steve looked at Noor shocked and said “Hi kids, I see you all brought a friend with you. You know how I feel about that!”
All the kids said “Sorry”
Steve said “All good”
Then all the kids started to play together.
At the end of the school year, Steve made a cake for the last day of school.
When the kids got home on the last day, Noor sighed and said “I know I have to go to the camp”
“Yes. We’re leaving tomorrow. I researched that place and one of the kid’s parents must stay with them. The minimum is two weeks. the school said you have to stay the whole summer!”
“The whole summer?!”
“Yes. I wasn’t done yelling at you.”
“Okay then complete your yelling.”
“You’ll be staying in room 555! i’ll be staying with you! and you’ll be in serious trouble if you get yourself kicked out of this! And if you successfully graduate, I’ll give you a party.”
Noor said “I want Alex to stay with me!”
Steve shook his head no and said “We’ve already talked and chose me. I’ll be the one that stays with you.”
“Why not Alex?”
“She’s afraid of the nether now.”
“Why?”
“You know what? I’m not exactly sure. Alex! Why do you fear the nether now?”
“My mother died in it”
“Oh.”
Noor nodded and said “Let’s go”
Steve said “Welp, I guess we could leave a day early. BUT, Alex will be coming with us. She wants to say goodbye to us before we enter.”
Alex said “Steve! I’m making your favorite tonight! Sweet berry steak.”
Steve said “We can’t go early”
The next day, Steve headed to the correctional facility with Noor.
When he got there, he said “Umm Noor and Steven Stonecutter”
The person said “Ah yes. I’ll give you your outfit later today. We have to fit both of you with outfits”
Steve said “Why is this place so expensive?”
“You’ll see”
Noor said “Steve, may I please go to my room?”
The person said “Yes. I’m the leader here. I’m Sarah”
Sarah then said “Steve. I love you.”
Steve said “Lady, PLEASE! I’m off the market”
Sarah said “Okay, Guys, you’re staying in room 555” and showed them to room 555.
At the end of break, Noor had made no progress; he had in fact gotten worse.
Steve said “Noor! This thing cost me all my life savings but 500 diamonds and 250 emeralds! Now Alex has probably spent all of them on food. You better straighten up in school because I can NOT afford to send you back here!”
Then a kid named Nancy came up to Steve with her mom.
The mom said “Steve, I overheard the problem you’re in. I can give you up to 100,000,000,000 diamonds and 50,000,000,000 emeralds.”
Steve said “Thanks. Want to come over to my house some time and hang out?”
“Sure”
Tristan said “Steve, I can stay here for a few more days to make you happy”
“No! You can’t miss school! In fact we may be late!”
“I’m not leaving until I get better!”
“Aww Noor. Don’t ever change. Just try and behave in school.” and headed home with Noor.
When he got home, he took Noor inside and said “Alex he failed”
Noor said “I did not!”
“How come you didn’t get a certificate of completion?”
“I have no idea!”
“You failed!”
Then Steve got a call from the camp and they said “Umm Steve, this Sunday you have to come back here for the test. Bring Noor.” and hung up.
That Sunday Noor passed the test and got a certificate of completion.
Noor said “You see Steve?!”
“Yeah”
When the kids were in fifth grade, Steve cried when they were getting ready.
Steve said “I promised myself I wouldn’t cry. I thought I could resist crying. I have for five years when they are leaving. Pretty soon, they’ll be leaving and we will only see them for birthdays!”
Noor said “Aww Steve, I’ll stay with you until I get a healthy amount of friends.”
Steve sighed and said “Noor, after school today, me and your mother would like to talk to you. Your siblings will all be with their friends.”
Noor said “This isn’t about me forgetting your birthdays for the past three years is it?”
Steve looked over at Alex and said “No.”
Noor then said “What is it then?”
Steve sighed and said “Your lack of friends.”
Noor said “What’s wrong with having no friends?”
Steve sighed and said “I’ll explain later.”
And Noor left.
About five hours later, Noor came home.
Steve said “Come to the couch.”
Alex yelled “Is he home?”
“Yes Alex!”
Alex then went to the couch. Steve and Alex sat next to Noor.
Steve said “Earlier today, you asked what’s wrong with having no friends.”
“Yeah,” said Noor.
Alex said “Well… people with no friends can get lonely.”
